Is my anatomy not made for partial hanging?

I'm in the psych ward so I'm limited in what I can use to kill myswlf - I've been trying partial hanging using a pair of panties around a door handle. I think I've been at it for 1 1/2 hours, I updated my socials and jotted down my goodbye in my journal, but…. I'm still here QwQ

Do some people just not have the anatomy for partial hanging? Am I doing something wrong?? Why isn't this working?????

Update: hahahahah this psych ward is a joke, the staff just did a safety round where they basically walked in on me trying to kill myself but some how I managed to laugh it off and off they went.

They let you use your phone in the psych ward now?

If you don't have any particular reason to ctb while you're there, I would recommend faking it until your discharge where you'll have better resources.

Otherwise, see if you can hold onto a towel after shower time and use that for partial suspension. Would probably work better than undies.

Well.. the staff walked in on me mid act. At first the nurse wasn't sure if I was trying to CTB or doing something erotic.

I think I got close a few times, but still no dice. I was so ready yesterday T-T

I can only assume the positioning of my panties around my neck didn't line up perfectly with my carotid. The positioning is just really difficult to get right.

oh, I'm still here and I'm still thinking about how I can kill myself and I'm wondering is there anything I should know or are there any resources like how can I do it right next time?

I just feel like with any sort of ligature it doesn't block the carotid. I feel like the carotid is quite quite deep in the neck so I've been able to block it with my hand, but I just don't know how I'm supposed to do that with a ligature.

The scientist in me would love to do a study of the people on here that have trouble with partial and see if there is something related between all of them. When I was trying, I had a hell of a time finding a sweet spot. It took me the better part of an hour to get it. I also think as I got fatter it got harder. My neck was more cushioned, which protects my arteries.

I know it is probably annoying to keep hearing this but I would play nice and get out of there ASAP. Then you could get better access to something that might actually work.
