I've read here that prescriptions should be avoided.

I have a lot of prescriptions I've been hoarding though. Lexapro, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Abilify, Gabapentin, Adderall, Concerta, Vyanse, my husband also has a collection of some pain killers but I'd have to check to be certain the type. Oh and sleeping pills.

Too risky?

Medication can be useful for some people, other people just suffer the side effects from it. It's not something that should be "avoided" at all costs, but it is something you should be wary of going on since you don't know how it'll affect you. I've been on Prozac for years and have never experienced the "lowered libido" or "numbing of feelings" that people often talk about, as much as I would love them because they sound better than whatever I'm going through, but other people have experienced those symptoms from it. It's very person dependent. Some places are offering genetic testing which will allow them to see what medications are likely to work best for you and which should be avoided, but as with all of psychiatry, it's still an imperfect science and is highly experimental.

Just to be clear... are you talking about ODing on prescription meds or taking them to feel better?
Don't try to OD on them but I would recommend trying them to feel better if you're so inclined. My prozac hasn't stopped me from wanting to ctb but it does get my head out of the gutter a little.

I believe that one reply did not understand what you are asking about lol.

Yes. Too risky. Most prescription meds, particularly the common psych meds and especially the ones you've listed, are balanced to be harder to OD on because... well think about who they're handing them out to lol. I remember reading about this when doing research a couple years back. You'd have to take too much, in such a short time, without vomiting it back up.

As a ctb method? Yeah I don't recommend it too much since it is designed to be harder to ctb. Exception is given to harder meds such as hard opioid.
As a aide in other methods? Very good since you just needed the normal dosage to achieve its effect (e.g using antiemetics to aid your poisoning method)

If you're referring to overdosing then yes it's a no go, they fail more than 95% of the time.

there's a post on here (i forgot where it is) that shows a chart of how much of everything you would need to take to od and its like a ridiculous amount. like hundreds to thousands depending on the med, height, weight, etc.
