I've read some accounts of people who die like 2 hours later in the hospital. Terrible

My friend survived long enough to get to the hospital and have surgery only to die in the ICU. Jumped from what looks to be a pretty decent height freeway bridge. Idk

Freeway overpass? That's not high.

I think I read somewhere that death chances increase dramatically when you get above 200-250 feet. Make sure you're really high up there with nothing to block you, you should be good

Clearly. It spans over a river. Did enough damage to lacerate the liver and spleen and hemorrhage from every orifice.

No one has survived golden gate without immediate medical help. That's around 200ft above water. Features like cliffs are great because they're usually isolated, I know a nearby one over 200ft tall with the open ocean below and no one around for miles. Basically if you aren't found it's over for sure no matter if you are still alive.

Name it. I want to look it up and see the height.

People don't die immediately at the GGB. Coroners see air bubbles around the nose indicating drowning.

If high enough? Yes, of course, although to guarantee instant death, that would be pretty high up. Like, from space high up. (10,160m is the world record. It was an unintentional fall, and the individual had no parachute or similar equipment). You'll have to settle for 99+ percent if you don't have an aircraft or spacecraft you can jump out of. Although personally, I'd be comfortable with 50 meters.

Instant? No. It takes time to fall. Suppose you are on a fifteen story residential building (45m), with no initial velocity (you're jumping off). It would take you three seconds to hit the ground.

Why are you being dense? I meant upon landing. Did you really think I meant death would arrive as soon as one jumped?

Sorry, I think I misunderstood. With enough height, like fifteen floors, you've got a pretty good chance of instant death. Four floors is the 50 percentile for death, although I'm confident that it won't be a pleasant nor quick one.

I was just reading this. Avoid jumping from residential roofs. She survived and made the headlines again. Paralyzed below the waist.

You don't like the gas setup? I noticed the monkey font's thread yesterday, and it seemed quite beautiful and serene. It's like having an oxygen facial while relaxing on a lounger. That would be my choice!

I'm too scared of heights to try that. CTB has to be something I can bring myself to do. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Yes inert gas is #1 for sure. It fights survival instinct because you don't know if each particular breath will be your last.

I would imagine the majority of the falls from floor four or below are either workplace accidents or accidents by amateurs while trying to make repairs to the building. A minority of people who would intentionally jump would be people who just want help but not die, or people who acted on impulse without research and didn't have what was needed to do it properly.

A woman was on a guided tourist walk around the top of a tower and just unharnessed then jumped.
If anyone is trying this, be sure to pick a guided tour that you actually can unhook yourself from. I've been on ones that use a special system so you can only unhook inside. I assume it's to prevent people from unclipping by accident. Would land the building in a pretty bad lawsuit.

There was a statue thing people kept jumping off in New York. It was shut down. Prolifers are evil

How you fall is more important than how high you fall. If you land on your neck and twist a disc too much, you can safely say that's an instant lights out. If you land on your back, you'll probably die slowly from internal bleeding. This is extremely simplified since a lot of factors can change how dangerous a fall is. After all, people have survived terminal velocity just fine

Go to beachy head in the South UK then it's almost a 100% instant death as it's 531ft tall

If you jump from a height of 100 ft or more, and land on a hard surface (e.g. concrete) there is very little chance of survival. The one point I repeat whenever this method comes up is that, if you do this, please make sure that there is nobody beneath you when you jump. If you land on top of someone you could kill or seriously injure them. (And they might break your own fall, and cause you to survive.)

I'm likely using 9mm just have to get the guts, it's so hard
The problem with a gun is that serious injury is pretty much guaranteed. Death is not. If you do choose that method, it would be advisable to research it very thoroughly beforehand, to be certain you can achieve your intended result.

What if you fail?
The chances are 85%, failure is much much more unlikely than success. It's more often the people who improperly shoot (i.e. under Chun, thru temple) that fail.

Just do it leaning over the side of a cliff edge or standing in the ocean at night in knee deep water with tide coming in and a 60lb barbell plate tied around neck with a chain. I would go and so that right now with my Mossberg 500 if I wasn't a cowardly weak cuck.

Hey man don't beat yourself up, dying is hard but uh the ocean one might be a bit much. It's extremely aesthetic but drowning is generally very painful!! That and you have a really strong neck
