I think it would be great. I could avoid having to participate in living, and those near me can be glad that I'm still breathing. It's a win-win.
So can I use drugs or something to sleep for more than 14 hours a day, ideally like 20 (though I know how unreasonable that sounds)

I normally sleep for 14 hours a day. Although I can't keep a sleeping pattern. It's a nightmare. Can't organise anything and guarantee I'll be awake for it. Not a way to live. If you want to sleep a long time, try weed plus seroquel

Using sleeping pills prevents full sleep cycles, which we need for our immune system and brain to regenerate. You can train yourself to sleep for longer and longer. Keep your room comfortable, cool, dark and quiet. Then if you wake up, instead of disturbing yourself, turn over and get some more. It becomes a habit eventually.

You could mayeb sleep 14 plus, with naps on and off, but do you have enough money to live the rest of your life without working? Possibly you are still at home, but that can't go on forever. Unless you have a lot of money, this is not a feasible long term plan (unless you ctb before you run out of money).

Possible but kind of hard
I like hypnosis, it helps you stay in a kind of out of it state without the need for drugs, kind of the closest thing you can get to sleeping without sleeping
Often will even use the word sleep as a metaphor
There are lots of free videos for this on youtube or elsewhere online

14 hours have done, 15 hours pushing it. Not everyday, everything would seize up.

i usually sleep from around 10 to 15 hours i just go back to sleep as soon as i wake up. sleeping for more than like 12 hours leaves me feeling absolutely miserable though so i dont really recommend it. my muscles get so weak i can barely stand up sometimes and i feel so physically tired that even laying down feels too exhausting. not a great experience combined with depression

This is verbatim what I think about having a lobotomy.

i'm not encouraging this, but i'm just sayin…my antipsychs made me sleep for so long…i was on 5mg of olanzapine and slept from 11-8 and went back to sleep at 9-10 no issues…

antipsychs are often prescribed off-label for insomnia, they're effective, but the other side effects aren't worth it…i am so paranoid i have diabetes now from taking it…rip…

Seroquel and Mirtazapine have had me knocked out for 12-14 hours at a time and still want to keep sleeping but you definitely build a tolerance until they don't make you tired anymore. Ironically enough, Mirtazapine is used as an antidepressant. Seroquel may be too, but don't quote me on that. I definitely don't enjoy the feeling though, it made me feel like I was waking up from being drugged. Would kind of ruin the day(s) after if I took it the night before

This. The very first time I took mirtazapine it was unreal. I immediately (and I literally mean instantly) felt weak in all my muscles and didn't think i'd make it upstairs to bed. When I woke up from 12 hours of sleep everything felt blurry the next day and like I was drugged. It soon wore off through tolerance and did precisely fuck all except making me angrier and have bursts of rage. I've been off them for months now but I found one I had left the other day and I've been saving it for when I feel like it. Hopefully have the same effect as the first time.

It is possible. I easily go straight for 15 hours in my days off. When I was at home, young and unemployed, that was the norm for me. Longest ever - 35 hrs

Its possible, some people with «Chronic fatigue syndrome» sometimes sleep up to 20 hours.
