I don't even know how I would do that. Handcuffs would be bad in case I needed to abort the attempt.

You tie your hands behind your back when using the hanging method for the purpose for not being able to back out. What you´re asking doesn´t make sense even when I just read the title because when using partial you could still just stand up with a rope around your neck and hands bound or cuffed behind your back then what?

People sometimes tie their hands using cuffs or plastic cuffs/strips in full suspension hanging because then there is no turning back. Imo using cuffs is probably for people who really want/need to ctb but SI kicks in every time and it still will using cuffs only this time they know they can´t escape just because a primal part of their brain forces them to stay alive i.e. SI.

Not easy to stand up when you fade to black. Where do I get plastic cuffs/strips? When would I put them on?

if you're looking for a method you can abort, full drop hanging is a terrible idea.

Sn much more abort-able.

i see. So wouldn't you just abort by raising your body?

Ah I see, you're referring above to getting weak or fading to black...
If the attempt fails I don't want to be stuck in handcuffs with no way to remove them.

In a hotel room from a metal railing. Early next week is the plan but I'm working out how to prevent failure.
You may have to practice a couple times so be prepared and patient for that

What all should I do? I'm practicing knots now. When I'm there i'll tie it to the railing and put my arm through the hole and pull down to see if it holds. Then I plan to put my head through and sit down but I'll be suspended slightly. I don't know where tying my hands and how to do it fits in.

Actually if you do some research you´ll see that several people have involuntarily stood up while unconscious from partial hanging. And you can get plastic cuffs at stores who sell airsofts equipment or just use 2-3 plastic strips and put together and make it yourself.

Also it doesn´t sound like you´re ready to ctb if you´re looking for a method you can back out from and as I said the title alone sounds ridiculous; partial hanging but with hands bound behind your back, you said yourself "not easy to stand up when blacking out" with that logic why would you need to be cuffed while unconscious?

you can buy metal handcuffs with the little lever type thing on them for quick release. you can even get police grade ones but they dont have quick release for obvious reasons lol.

Sorry, I'm thrown off by what led you to believe tying your hands is a requirement, like following a guide or something. There's no requirement, you don't have to wear handcuffs or anything similar if you don't want to.

You need to more homework snd planning. It is easy to fail if you just go for it.

restraining yourself might lead to panic and pain if the noose goes into the wrong position. You may be more likely to die, but also less likely to have a peaceful exit.

Be more specific about plastic strips, like what kind? The reason for backing out is if the method doesn't work for me. Not everyone is able to pass out. Your reasoning is bad. It may not be easy to stand up but it's possible. I don't want brain damage and if I fail and am cognizant, I don't want to be locked into handcuffs. Who will get them off of me? I want to be able to try another method if this doesn't work.

There is a guide. I wrote it since no one else has. I posted in one of my threads. I was told that tying my hands would make it harder to fail when I convulse. It makes sense, so I added it to my guide.

I've already read all the threads on partial on this site. It's easy to tell someone to study more. Why don't you actually contribute to the thread?

More likely to die trumps a peaceful vegetative state.

When I did partial I did tie my hands up, but not really. It was a slipknot tied to two ends of the rope, the length was just enough so I could still reach the rope around my throat and adjust it, but I couldn't really pull my hands apart for a distance longer than like 2-3 inches (hands were in front of me, not behind my back). I chose rope cuz it's easier for me to take off than handcuffs, but if I were unconscious I doubt my body could figure out how to open a knot on its own.

I did this because I'd seen videos/stories (not sure which, it was a long time ago) where while the person was unconscious from the hanging their hands would try pry the rope out and they'd wake up with bloodied fingers like they'd struggled. So I wanted to make it as hard for my body as possible.

I'm not sure of the validity of those vids/stories since it's been so long, and plus those people are probably in the minority since plenty of people hang themselves through partial/full without tying their hands. I just did it cuz I thought it wasn't too hard to do, so why not. So I wouldn't really call it necessary.

If you wanted to prevent yourself from backing out while unconscious handcuffing/tying your feet would be a better idea, because the convulsions after going unconscious could easily make you stand up and wake up.

These kinds of strips lodged together to make a handcuff you should be able to get them in any hardware store or online and they´re cheap. But I still think this method is ludicrous when used for partial but if used for full suspension hanging I think it´s 100% foolproof if you cuff yourself behind your back and even if not chances are you´re not able to save yourself but of course full suspension hanging isn´t as peaceful. But anyways here is the picture just to help you a little but know that you can´t get them off without cutting or burning them off so if you somehow changed your mind you´d have to walk home (if done outdoors) with your hands behind you back which could be concealed under your jacket and then unlock your door with hands behind your back, it would look suspicious unless of course you also brought scissors or a small knife to cut them off.

Oh zip ties. I have those. Why is it bad for partial? I'm worried my hands will reach for the rope around my neck while I'm unconscious. I don't want brain damage. I really need this to work and I'm scared it won't.

Oh yeah the english word for it is zip-tie weird I forgot that.

I guess it´s not bad when thinking about it, like if you´re just about to lose consciousness but SI kicks in you would normally have time to losing the knot where as with the hands bound you might not make it but if SI kicks in then just by standing up you would relieve a lot of pressure from the carotid arteries so I recon you´d not go unconscious that is why I don´t think cuffing your hands behind your back would help as much with partial.

But taking into consideration with the hands reaching for your neck I have seen that on many videos even after the person has gone unconscious and don´t move then suddenly grab for the rope like a reflex usually doing full suspension hanging but of course they never survive full suspension hanging, I just don´t get how it´s possible to grab for the rope while unconscious.

I think it'd be hard to stand due to being so tired. That's how I felt when I tested it.

In those cases, the body took a last chance to save itself.

I'm thinking I might have to just jump. I need certainty. It's part of my ocd. Problem is I can't end up hesitating when I get to the bridge. My SI doesn't kick in with partial

I don´t get this, have you been working out or ran a marathon? I remember when testing partial I walked 1½ hours to my destination but was so exhausted that I only practiced for 20 minutes I intended to ctb back then but back in my mind I knew I had 1½ hour back "home" again so I´d call it a practice run not an attempt. So I think you would be really exhausted like low blood sugar feeling not to be able to stand up.

Partial is also my favorite option since it seems peaceful but I have a backup plan but that would take courage just like jumping would.

Clearly partial affects you differently. I felt like I was on anesthetic and was tired as a result.

Yes obviously I think it´s kind of self-evident.
But what about when I convulse and my arms are free? Don't reply with "you could stand up." I highly doubt as I've explained.
