Is it fine to rant here every time I get suicidal?

Because I don't want to reach out to crisis lines as those have their own issues and if you say too much they might call someone or send someone to your own house for safety reasons which I get but I don't wanna deal with that, but I don't want to lie because then there was no point in reaching out. Here I can tell the truth even admit all my plans and everything if I want without fearing being sent to the psych wards, but is it considered too annoying/repetitive to come here whenever I'm suicidal just to whine about it each time? I just feel the need to get it off my chest so I can function, without telling anyone who could get me stuck in a mental hospital or telling anyone close to me. It's kind of comforting to tell strangers since it's anonymous. Anyways let me know!

I have a diary and most of my entries are about wanting to die, but it's not the same as being able to actually talk to someone without all the risks that usually come with talking to another person about it. This is what I needed.

You're right that we're all in the same boat, I know it's cliche but it is sometimes helpful to know I'm not the only one. We are all suffering which sucks but is also oddly comforting.

However, I'm going to be honest that in that case, you may wish to try out other, explicitly pro-life forums as well~ :) altho, you're certainly welcome here if you don't choose to~ :) no one here will tell you to commit sewer slide, but yes, it's generally considered okay by most members here as this is an explicitly pro-choice forum~

You mean pro-life in the sense of suicide right? I have no plans to join those forums for many reasons, but if I do I just want to make sure you didn't mean in the sense of abortion, because the pro-lifers related to that I HEAVILY disagree with and I'm pro-choice. If you're strictly talking about suicide, it can be debated. But I really really don't want to go to a pro-life forum either way, they wouldn't understand. Here it's like a safety net knowing it's okay if I give up but obviously I don't want to be encouraged to, however even though no one here has directly encouraged me to do anything and I know it's my choice, the whole vibe of this place can sometimes push a little in that direction, even if unintentional.

Fuck yea, it's the highlight of my week reading sanctioned suicide. It's my happy place.
You can also post things when you aren't feeling terribly bad, I feel like this is like a sanctuary.
For me at least it's not at all something that you should be afraid of.
I feel even "happy" here.

I feel it too, like a weight is lifted off my chest. I like that here you have to post a certain amount and stuff to slowly get full access to everything, it feels more private that way and barely anything feels private on the internet nowadays. It does feel like a sanctuary like you said. I have a fear though of anyone in my personal life finding out I have an account on a suicide forum because they'd freak out and think I'm crazy like "normal" people do.

A lot of people make a "vent" or "journal" thread and post their daily vents in there. It makes it easy for others to follow your story and keeps the forums more tidy.

If it is recurring a lot, consider making a dedicated thread for it, tho the forum has lots of content and I browse content that catches my eye.

And yep, it does feel good to share stuff with SaSu.

The Beyond Blue forums may or may not be pro-life, I'm not too sure... they are geared towards Recovery (like the Recovery section here), and like most other forums, probably ban talk on harmful information (like CTB guides)

make a dedicated vent thread, but there are layers in here, right now we are public dont need a user to see this, we have Private Suicide Discussion where you need an account to see it or the Sanctuary with even more privacy.
