Im planning to fully suspend and I'm confused. How long does it take to lose consciousness? Some say it's 10s some say its 3min.

Is hanging objectively more peaceful than sn? Because I've heard it is and I've heard it's not I AM CONFUSED. Im not sure whether it's worth going through all the effort of obtaining meto for sn if it's not very peaceful....

Look, it depends. If the rope and noose are right, you lose consciousness in 8/15 seconds and die afterwards. When in doubt, choose SN. It's better, you know? It's more accurate. Stay with you, for I really don't know your situation. Anyway, I wish you the best and have a great exit.

If the carotid is depressed, it's quick unconsciousness from the immediate inability of oxygen to get to the brain. Otherwise it is slower asphyxiation from not breathing.

Do you know where I can find the % of how often it's slow and painful? I'm having a hard time acquiring antiemetics for the sn method

I believe I have read they have changed the recommendations around antiemetics for the SN method.

I don't consider hanging a peaceful death by any stretch of the word peaceful.

Interesting.
I have seen posts from people that had rope failures or were rescued. They note little discomfort and then they woke up. It happens quickly if the setup is correct.
Please research any method to make sure you are increasing your odds of success in a tolerable timeframe.

Your knot is also important. Use a slip knot not a hangmen's nose otherwise the rope might not tighten to a point where you will pass out. A hangmen's knot is designed to be adjustable and easy to adjust. A hangmen's nose is designed to break the neck for a drop hanging.

A good, easy to tie slip knot. Put the long end of the rope through the loop.

Why? What would a peaceful ctb look like to you? Do you think sn is more peaceful?

No, not really peaceful. More so than hanging, though. Vomiting is not peaceful. I would consider a peaceful death as any death that makes me unconscious quickly, without pain, wherby death follows soon after. As far as hanging is concerned, flailing around and gasping for air, while pressure intensifies in your head, while hanging from a rope around your neck is not peaceful, IMO.
