I am thinking that drowning may be the best way to CTB, that is legal.

(I will definitely throw up with SN.)

Any thoughts?
I am thinking about just going to a beach and trying drowning (even if the beach is busy); going towards a night time

While both are not 100% guaranteed. I have read drowning can be very unpleasant also. Search around the threads and google for people who have drowned and survived. Also if this is unsuccessful and you are revived there could be brain damage and other issues. I do believe suicide is not legal in some countries. Any please correct me if i am incorrect for anything i have said.
Bottom line is people should be comfortable with there actions so your SI doesn't kick in and ruin it.

This does not mean i am encouraging or discouraging you. It's just my 2 cents.

Someone from here mentioned hyperventilating before going under water. If you hyperventilate you will pass out and supposedly a peaceful death.

I remember many years back I jumped off the end of a pier into the ocean..I wasn't suicidal at that time, just trying to show off for some girls.Anyway,I didn't land right and the surf was violent and I became disoriented and nearly drowned(pretty fuckin lame, huh?) It was an awful experience, but like I said,I wasn't suicidal at the time so panic had a lot to do with it.I think now a days feeling dead and depressed as I have it might be a lot easier just to jump in and die.But who knows?I think when you inhale that first mouthful of water and your lungs involuntarily try to expel it,panic and S.I. would kick in pretty hard.I think drowning would be a pretty shitty way to die.

Was going to try this once. My plan was to tie a cinder block with one end of a rope and the other end tied around my foot. Then, off this beautiful public dock into the ocean I would go. The reason for the block was when SI inevitably kicked in, there would be no getting to the surface. Horrible way to CTB, most likely. Guatennteed? If the knot is tied intricately, yeah, pretty much.

I tried this 2 months ago drunk in my bath tub. Kept flipping over bc of the panic. It felt as though my lungs were going to explode and survival mode kept overpowering my will to die. <\3

Drowning isn't a guaranteed way to go. A lot of people find it very difficult. It seems like it's much easier to accomplish by accident than on purpose.

Awhile back someone posted an account of their drowning attempt that kinda stuck with me.

Before you die from drowning you will breath in and out several times water. Its unpleasant
Also if you really choose this method tie a difficult knot to untie on a rock or something heavy to ensure you wont try and escape....
Also ill show you some images of how its like since you sayed a night time at beach.
If its deep and you throw the weight and yourself with a rope into the sea , you will probably feel like sinking into the deep bottom while everything is complete dark ( incase its deep waters youll got yourself some time to experience this) and then reach bottom of the beach while still holding your breath. This is due to survival insticts. Then youll stop resisting and start breathing in and out water several times before you feel lighthead and pass out then die.
Its effective it has no turning point if done right and you tie a stone or something into yourself with complicated knots and relatively fast. Its painless but its unpleasant and if your not so couragous can turn scary drifting into the sea bottom knowing you will have to breath water several times before going uncosciouss....

Drowning would terrify me. Firstly it would trigger some major si unless you're unconscious before going under, and secondly if someone "saves" you there might be some significant brain damage.

Drowning would cause panic (I know, I nearly drowned in a water park when I was young). It is not an option for me.

Drowned once, was almost three. Have memories of the moment before, but not the drowning part itself. Can't say if that's trauma or because of my young age. What I can say though is that by the time my friend had fetched my mum I was unconscious and that can't have been more than a minute. Of course the catch is that once you learn how to swim you probably won't fall into the water screaming in panic and taking the water in like that. That's the problem, and the agony.
