What if I believe hell means annihilation and I choose that over this life or eternal life?

I'm a practicing Catholic. I'm afraid of hell as well, and suicide is considered as a grave sin (no pun intended) since a person did not die a natural death as God has intended. Sometimes I want to believe that no one is in hell since the Church never declared anyone is in it, though divine or holy revelation to saints show that hell is full of sinners.

I'd like to think that God is ever-merciful and can forgive sins even if the person successfully CTB. Each person is different, and there are many factors why a person died by CTB, and I'm sure He understand it. At the very least, send those people to purgatory as a limbo, but guaranteed to be sent to Heaven with the intercession of saints and faithful.

Spirit is enteral, by eternal I mean it will consciously exist during this universe cycle. Perhaps there is a future technology where we can convert curiousness soul energy into matter but that is a far way off.

I consider myself completely spiritual but that being said, I still think 99% of the Bible is pure mythology and fiction. So there, take that Christians. No, I don't believe in your Hell. No, I don't believe in your vengeful and punishing God, so shut the fuck up about it already and let us alone.

Yes, I believe there are higher states of consciousness that EVERYONE (including you poor people and I that want to ctb) will attain when they are ready.

I was raised as a Catholic and I really believed in the stuff I read in the Bible. If I ever called someone "stupid" I thought "God" would punish me and send me to hell because of that. I lived in fear.

Fortunately, years went by and I read a lot about different religions and I realized it's always the same: There's an overpower being who will take care of you if you're a good guy and will send you to hell if you're a bad guy. However, the terms "good" and "bad" keep changing over the centuries. For instance, we don't set on fire all those who are not religious anymore.

Thus, I thought I was an atheist but after realizing that the very fact of existing is weird and no one can find the absolute truth, I became an agnostic.
We might be living in a simulation, some religion may be right, nothing could make any sense, etc. I'm open to all the posibilities but I won't spend the rest of my days obsessed with a religion. I think they're probably just fairy tales. However, I can't 100% say that there is NOTHING out there waiting for us.

I was raised in christian school and tried hard too follow the rules. I feel so let down by God. I trusted him. Now I don't know if the bible was wrote by someone drunk and somehow 2000 odd years later its somehow become ingrained in human life. Easter which is now jesus came back from the dead. He also walked on water and fed 5000 out of a few fish. Its all faith but realistically could be some garbage wrote and has stood the test of time. I've prayed and prayed and had no answers. So I think God don't like me. I don't know what too believe anymore.

I think I'm still a Christian. I was a Muslim as a child (because of my father), then I became a Christian (because of my mother). I lived in Japan for 7 years and got a taste of different types of spirituality. Now... I still feel guilt when I think of suicide... I have a serious fear of the afterlife, would suck if hell is actually real.

But I keep thinking that most people that lived on earth "sinned" according to the Bible, I mean... no one is perfect... so would that mean that damn near everyone went to hell??? It's just inconceivable. Though, I think the Bible said only a very selected few make it, and I can't think of why we exist if God knows everything and He knew from the beginning that we would not make it. Idk...

I'm Catholic. Going through RCIA soon. I think God wants me to kill myself. There were saints who killed themselves, and people who choose death over sin are martyrs, which is a kind of self-murder I think. The only reason the church is against suicide is because people would be leaping off buildings left and right if they weren't... that's what I tell myself, anyways. If God didn't want me to kill myself he wouldn't have made all his little children hate me.

Yeah 99% of humans would go too hell for sinning and not going to church, believing other religion etc. Surely 99% of the human population can't go too hell. If they do what would be point of life. I guess it's all beyond our human mind too understand.

I'm agnostic at this point. Some of the strangest unexplained phenomena in this existence cannot be explained by science which is why I'm inclined to believe in divine forces. At the same time, I've come to believe that God is a tool used to give people hope. People devote every fiber of their being to a person they've never even seen before. it's easy to find comfort in believing that there's more to life after death and you receive a clean slate than it is to think that there is nothing after death and that after a century of a miserable existence you just rot 6ft under for the rest of time and fade into nothingness. I don't believe in hell the way the bible explains it. I truly believe planet Earth is hell, and Earth is the devil's domain. So much hatred, corruption, and truly twisted and demented people on this planet cannot explain why God (if there is one) has been so absent from everything. If God is real he could give a rat's ass about humanity. I truly believe he has forsaken humanity

I'm agnostic. I dont believe in the abrahamic god and if he exists then I believe the gnosticc sethians cosmos is more likely to be true.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sethianism. They never actually had an opinion about Allah but I believe they would probably think he is their yalderboash.
I believe an afterlife is possible albeit not probable

I used to be a super Christian when life was plentiful and career was thriving. Now I'm at the bottom of the shit pile and everything is fucked and God doesn't seem to care that much. Friends say they care, but in the end, they really don't. Can you blame them? Maybe I'll go do ayahuasca next month and everything will be more clear.

Yes. The bible(s) and religions are the hell. Incompetent human concepts. Humans are extremely egocentric. Once you wake up to that fact the world becomes really efing scary. We're living in the dark ages.

The fear of God has literally been instilled in people. I believe there may be a spirit, an essence or something. But religion, with its ornate buildings and practitioners in fancy robes, no thanks.
I worship the great prophet Richard Dawkins.

Im not religious - even though I wish I was because it would have made accepting my past and my current struggles a whole lot easier like "if I endure all of this shit now at least I will go to heaven later" or something.

The older I get the more I actually want to get into a more spiritual mindset - having mantras like "accept your current state of existence" "live in the present and don't think about the past/future" "be humble" which always sounded so cliche to me are actually helpful in recovery.
