I am under the impression you need to be terminally I'll, or at least can present an extremely good case as to why you need to die. It's a shame you can't just go and die, I would go in a heartbeat.

I could be wrong but I thought the organization pegasos allowed the non terminally ill/non sick to apply. There was recently a story where two sisters died together at that clinic although Im not 100% sure how sick they were (I don't think they were sick though). Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Theres some info Here

I can't wait to get cancer so I can get euthanasia. I hear they give you a bottle of pills to take wherever like on a rollercoaster or a cruise or while skydiving, etc

I wrote them an email to ask if I am eligible, although I have strong doubts about it as I am only 28 y.o. and I'm not terminally ill, but disabled, recently lost my legs in suicide attempt.

I think I don't have enough posts to be able to get messages, I'm sorry. I wrote to Pegasos, I've read that it's much easier to get an approval there than in Dignitas. But I think your age plays a huge role if you are not terminally ill, at least I saw some posts on this forum regarding this topic. So what is your age and condition, do you have any severe illness?

No worries at all, I completely understand! Do you mind keeping us updated if they write back and approve of you? I'm 36 and have chronic fatigue syndrome. My chronic fatigue syndrome is pretty severe (I've been homebound for 11 years now); but I know I'm still on the younger side too so I'm not sure how low my chances would be to get accepted.

I actually read of two stories where multiple people in families got accepted so I'm hoping they take anyone who's in pain. It really should be illegal to prevent anyone from ctb as it should be a personal right (or at least that's how I feel about it).

I'm so sorry about your pain. Sure, I'll post here if I get any response from them, although I'm almost 100% sure they'll reject me as I'm too young and my condition allows me to live using prosthetics and taking some medicine. Anyway I don't think this is a decent life, if I had N right now I would drink it in one gulp.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through! It doesn't sound like a decent life at all. I really do hope they accept you. Do you have plans to get N in the future? I wish I could private message you.

Yeah, I would like to get N, but I'm afraid of seizure as I'm in EU, baltic state. Previously I even thought to travel to Mexico to be 100% sure to get it, but unfortunately I couldn't stand my father's suicide and did what I did, so now I've to learn how to walk again, on prosthetics, before I'll be able to come back home and order anything. I'm also thinking about getting SN as a backup plan, as I'm already have meto, but I don't know any source yet. I hope someone will tell me when I'll be able to get private messages.

We had this conversation so many times. Again: You do NOT have to be terminally ill to apply to Pegasos. This is the only VAD association in Switzerland that accepts applications from people in full health. Same applies to the one association in Germany.

For more informations visit the websites of the 6 association in Switzerland and the one association in Germany.

Well, actually yes, they claim they think everyone has the right to ctb, but at the same time they reject young people with depression, so you definitely can't be approved if you're in full health and young. Quote from their FAQ:
"Pegasos does not accept young people with depression or other severe mental illness."

A person with depression is not in full health. Depression is a mental illness. As I said before, persons with mental illness (depression or others) have to get an expert opinion form a psychiatrist in Switzerland (appr. CHF 1.000,- + travel expenses). Depression can have many different causes. Young people are often depressed during puberty and want to die for the reason. That´s why P does not accept applications from young people.

"other severe mental illness"... I would accept those applications, if I would work for an association. But it´s P´s free decision not to accept them.

Depression can have so many different symptoms. Often, you can't accurately distinguish between depression and other mental illnesses.
And also physical illness can cause depression and other mental disorders. For example: liver, intestinal dysbiosis and heavy metal poisoning.

Do you remember what was the other story with multiple family members than those sisters? I think the sisters did have some health concerns.

I remember reading about a woman who got accepted with cfs and was in her 30s I believe. Just found it by googling.

It is very difficult to get euthanasia unless you are terminal. I hope everybody who is unwell can get access to those Sarco Pods in the future. But the governments will somehow try to restrict those as well.

I jumped under the train in subway. Probably it was the worst experience in my life, I was completely conscious and was begging for finishing me for a while till emergency came. But of course they didn't, just gave me some kind of gas to make me unconscious and that's was amazing, that feeling of non-existence. Unfortunately soon I woke up in ICU, realising what I've done, facing the consequences. Horrible

I have not heard dignitas accepting cfs but that doesnt mean much. Of course they still could. Is there a reason why you would prefer dignitas over pegasos or life circle?

The other story I believe was about a mother and two of her kids (they were older though). I read about it in one of the comments while researching the sisters I believe on this site. Thanks, I found that article before too!

I was just the most familiar with dignitas but it seems like Pegasos might be a better fit. They seem to be more accepting than dignitas.

I am so so very sorry for what happened to you. I'm also sorry that it's harder to get N now (does anyone have any updates on getting it from D? I checked the megathread and couldn't find if he has returned to shipping it). I really do hope that pegasos accepts you. I'd love to be able to send you a chat but I think you need like double the posts you've made already.

From their (pegasos) website:

Does Pegasos help "well" people to die?
"Pegasos believes that for a person to be in the headspace of considering ending their lives, their quality of life must be qualitatively poor. Pegasos accepts that some people who are not technically 'sick' may want to apply for a VAD. But this does not mean the person is 'well'. Professor David Goodall was one of these people. He was not sick but his eye sight was failing him, as was his mobility. Old age is rarely kind. The decision to end one's life is an intensely personal one. Pegasos makes every effort to understand fully the unique circumstances of everyone who makes contact with us."

There are also people here who lost their loved one to suicide (a full thread on it in fact if you bothered to look). Should we stop talking about our desire to CTB?

weebster was only saying he couldn't wait to get cancer so he'd be eligible for euthanasia and die with dignity. There is no need for you to be an unlikable karen.
