Help Is a fabric belt sturdy enough for hanging?

Hiya, I found a small hook in my apt that would be great for hanging. The problem is that it's really thin, I tried looping my leather belt around it that's about 3cm wide and it was too big. I though have a belt made of fabric, it's basically just a slither of cloth. It has the same width as the aforementioned leather belt and feels pretty sturdy, and since fabric is more flexible than leather it would fit into the hook. But would it be sturdy enough for me to ctb? It would be full on hanging, not partial. I'm 50-53kg if that helps.

I think it´s impossible to give the right answer. It depends on what kind of fabric it is and how thick. Also the drop height is important and how tall you are. Why don´t you use a tourniquet (carotid method) instead or buy a rope ?

I'm ~160cm, the drop height is about 190cm. I don't have easy access for a rope, I would have to travel to an another city to get one. I just want to get this over and done with.

Yes, I can send you a guide. It´s a great back up methode because a tourniquet costs only US$8,- and you do it every where.

Are you able to post a pic?
Where is this hook, the ceiling, screwed into the wall?
Most ppl do a test… put your belt thru the hook and grab the belt to see if it will support you
