but I thought death occurs within one hour. is that not true?you mean that you would be alone only for 6 hours? Dont take that risk man you gotta make sure you arent found for like 24+ hours at least, otherwise you risk getting brain damage
According to Stan's Guide the time to death varies, from 40 minutes to 4 hours. In making Stan's Guide I am pretty sure someone observed 6 people at different times who followed the same protocol, so that is a good general guideline.but I thought death occurs within one hour. is that not true?
Source of this information? lolyou mean that you would be alone only for 6 hours? Dont take that risk man you gotta make sure you arent found for like 24+ hours at least, otherwise you risk getting brain damage
It may in some cases, but STan's Guide was based on actual observed cases, and it says, right at the end of Stan's Guide:I thought it takes 1-2 hours
This is clearly just made-up information- someone who is trying to be extra-cautious with the good intention of trying to help, but there is no basis for this.Source of this information? lol
This is helpful information.Ppeh observed over 80 people 27 or 28 of them were mentioned from what I remember and almost all of them died and under an hour.
Let's not forget that stan got a majority of his information from the ppeh.
I mean you are starving your body of oxygen, at some point you will start starving your brain of oxygen. And if you are found halfway through it and saved then you might have brain damage because depriving your brain of oxygen leads to permanent damageSource of this information? lol
that's not at all what they asked - they are asking you for a source on your claim that:I mean you are starving your body of oxygen, at some point you will start starving your brain of oxygen. And if you are found halfway through it and saved then you might have brain damage because depriving your brain of oxygen leads to permanent damage
which is incorrect.you gotta make sure you arent found for like 24+ hours at least,
This appears to be a number you just made up, the 24 hours- there is no basis for this that anyone on this thread is aware of. Please be careful with things like this, these are important life decisions people are making, don't just make things up.you mean that you would be alone only for 6 hours? Dont take that risk man you gotta make sure you arent found for like 24+ hours at least, otherwise you risk getting brain damage
But some people based on their situation may never have that much time, and in cases like these they can act faster if needed. If a person needs to find peace they can work with the situation that they have.It would be enough in theory.
However (!) many don't take SN the moment they are alone.
It takes some time to prepare what you need.
It takes considerably longer to mentally prepare and get over your SI until you actually down the concoction.
You don't want to be stressed doing this just because you know someone will find you in X hours.
Do yourself a favour and make sure that you have at least 12 hrs, best 24 hrs. Just for your own peace of mind.

well where is the source that under 24 hours is fine?that's not at all what they asked - they are asking you for a source on your claim that:

It is Stan's Guide, which is the key guide on this site- I posted the link to Stan's Guide 10 posts ago along with thge quote from Stans guide- this guyide was based on actually observing people who followed stans protocol- the quote is also on the post ten posts ago, which shows a range of 40 minutes to 4 hours.well where is the source that under 24 hours is fine?

my bad in that case, still dont see why not just make sure you are alone for at least 24 hours? there is no risk in that case. you're only gonna do it once so doesnt make sensea) Source 1
b) mccann et. al (2021) provide a case study of lethal cases of deliberate SN poisoning. all were admitted to hospital, and time to ctb varied from one hour - no more than three hours, in these cases.
c) duong (2022) reports a slightly wider range of time of death - anywhere from 40 minutes to 6 hours. no case studies present in this case, however, but still well-under your 24 hours.
i'd like to add, with respect to sources b and c, these are all LETHAL cases where medical care was provided, hence why some of these times of death were longer than they might've been if they were not found or had not called 911.
d) pph has established, with a great deal of evidence to support it, that four hours is pretty much the upper limit for a time of death.
your turn!
The reason is because some people live with others and some people never get the house to themselves for 24 hours and they can't afford a hotel room- the usual reason for asking about a shorter time frame like six hours is because six hours is the longest time period that they get the house to themselves.my bad in that case, still dont see why not just make sure you are alone for at least 24 hours? there is no risk in that case. you're only gonna do it once so doesnt make sense
If the correct protocols are followed six hours would be more than enough. In my case I'm estimating no more than 1-2 hours just to be sure.Is 6 hours enough to die from SN?
