Does anyone else like to have inner dialogue inside their head, ranging from monologue to delusions of talking to others, including conversations where others are talking about you.

Just to clarify, the imaginary dialogue inside your head doesn't represent anything close to real life, but comes solely from your imagination. For example my boss treats me like shit, always talk to me like I'm an idiot (which I probably am). In my head, I would imagine a totally different conversation where my boss admire me and talk to me with respect. I think it's mainly self denial (can't come to terms with other people's view of myself)

Monologue, yes, but no delusions. Sending you hugs if you are dealing with that...

I talk to myself sometimes
I can't stop it.
I may sound crazy..
But I can't control my thoughts.
If i think of a upcoming situation..Which i am worried about.. i think of all the worst things i could say, all the worst things they could say..and how worse it can end up.

That's exactly how I would act when under a lot of stress and anxiety, especially when dealing with social situation. I think a part of me just can't come to term with how others perceive me and how I want to be perceived.

I think speaking your thoughts aloud is not a problem per se. Lots of people do it.

It is knowing I cannot actually say them to the person they are meant for that bothers me, and there is nothing I can do about it.

I have inner dialogues, monologues and inner movies/scenarios from waking til sleep.

I thought everyone does. Don't they??

This happens to me all the time, sometimes I'll make faces in public by accident based on what I said to myself in my head. No one seems to notice but I do worry about in when I'm in public. You're not alone friend.

Yes to the monologues. As for delusions, not exactly, more of that fantasy world thing that there was a post about last week. I forgot what the technical term for it is.

That's a form of something they call maladaptive daydreaming, I believe. I've done it as long as I can remember, but I only recently learned it had an actual name and stuff. I thought I was the only one until I decided to research it one day. Pretty fascinating subject.

I don't think there's anything wrong with imagining an alternative dialogue where you are treated the way you deserve. Bosses who treat employees like shit and make them feel bad are complete morons because no one is EVER motivated by that.
