  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

So I had my police welfare check this morning in the UK. 2 police officers asked to come in without saying the reason - obvs I was expecting this. They said they were concerned about a package that they knew was delivered to me in December, and were concerned that it could be used for suicide.
I told them I'd ordered the substance and that I'd taken it last week. Explaining that I'd only just been discharged from hospital. They were a bit taken aback and asked if I had any left - unfortunately the hospital took the rest whilst I was in resus. They asked me where I got it from & I just said the internet but couldn't remember what site.
Wasn't much else they could do except to say they were sorry they didn't come last week and asked if I needed any support. They seemed ok for police and they didn't really know what to say.
Luckily I live on my own but I really feel for the people who have the police confront them in front of family/flatmates.
Funnily enough they (nor I) mentioned the name of the poison.

I'll detail my failed SN attempt in another post soon - I'm still coming to terms with the fact I'm still here 💕
