  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

am i googling the wrong things? i searched up nembutal to see that its supposed to be available over the counter in places such as mexico, south america, and south east asia? if its that easy why are we trying to get N from D. I may be looking up or understanding the wrong thing here. N also appears to be prescribed for things such as anxiety/depression insomnia? shouldnt that also be easy to get from a pyschiatrist for those who have underlying health issues and are on other medications alredy?

google also says only like 1 out of 10 N overdoses are fatal. im extremely confused now

Barbiturates are also used as a "Drug of abuse", someone who is not taking it with the intent to die can be saved "relatively" easy if they only took a recreational dose.

There are other derivatives of Nembutal that are much less potent. Barbiturates in some countries are available OTC, but they would be very different than the form needed to CTB.

Barbiturates are very rarely prescribed as a sleeping medicine, and only really used for psychiatric treatments in an inpatient environment, for extremely severe psych cases only. Nembutal is not really used in human medicine, as there are much more safer and controllable substances that a physician would use. It's most commonly used in vetinary medicine, and even so, it's been more-or-less phased out by newer medications.

I don't know what sites you're reading but most of that is wrong. Nembutal or any pentobarbital is no longer prescribed for anxiety/insomnia because of how easy it was to die from an overdose. They have been replaced by benzos. Pentobarbital (the name of the chemical in N) is very occasionally used in hospital settings as part of an anesthetic regimen or to treat severe epileptic seizures. No one would dare prescribe pentobarbital to an individual to use at home.
I don't know where you got the info about the overdoses rarely been fatal as there is no antidote for N. If you are found quickly you can be saved but basically undisturbed for 1-2 hours you're going to be dead. Especially at the dose of N in the bottle you get from D.

I'm glad you brought that up. In the emergency medicine realm, Nembutal Sodium (Pentobarbital) is used as a last resort medication for a condition called Status Epilepticus. The only reason it is used is because there is a 1:3 chance the patient will die and the risks of death from Nembutal outweigh the risks from continued Status Epilepticus

I guess old and wrong info don't disappear with time or get overwritten so it's easy to get led down the wrong path when searching a new subject. Side effect of the internet age.

OP, read the Nembutal section of the ppeh (peaceful pill e handbook) which is available for download on the front page of the suicide discussion section here on the forums. That's a good starting place. It's not perfect but it's a far cry from the snippets picked up around various sites on the net. Including other suicide/right to die oriented sites. In all fairness there a load of nonsense to be found here on the forums too, interspersed with good info, so we all get tripped up at times. Nobody's infallible.

Most sensible and tactuful people here are reluctant to spell it out for new members. I'd hope and assume, as a precaution to avoid giving info to the wrong people inadvertently. Both from a moral and legal standpoint. Also sources are rare as can be. Right now there's one and it's precarious as hell at the moment.
