Is there anyone who failed their inert gas attempt? I have been thinking of this method for the past couple of months, got the regulator, oven bag, elastic bands, but became a bit unsure about the method after reading about people who failed with this method. Maybe the "snug" fit between the bag and the neck can be subjective? Or hyperventilation was not enough? I would really appreciate if you could share your experience.

I can't say it was a failure as I took off the mask after 15 seconds, maybe because i was under the impression that its fast acting which it most definitely isn't. And I agree with the snug part you mentioned. I had to rework the entire mask because of it.
Also, I forgot to hyperventilate beforehand.

I attempted and failed because I backed out. I didn't use a bag, instead I got an SCBA mask. I didn't like having something over my face and also didn't like how it made me feel. It was like my face was going numb and there was a slight struggle for breathes.

I still think it's a good method, just not one for me.
