i think the only chance i have at achieving death is starving and dehydrating to death. cause i dont see myself dying through jumping or shooting; frankly i dont have the guts to do anything daredevil-y. ive heard you guys talk about nembutal and SN and whatnot and i dont really have a clue how to obtain that. and even if i did, i dont think id be able to take it since i live with my parents. Starving/dehydrating to death is a lot more scary and mentally challenging than shooting yourself. I'd look into other methods that you find peaceful.

I just find it so horrible how it's so unnecessarily difficult to die in this world, a painless, guaranteed way to free ourselves from this existence should be a human right, none of us should have to resort to barbaric and risky methods. But anyway I hope that you eventually find what you search for, best wishes.

We can thank the survival instinct (proximal cause) and natural selection (ultimate cause) for this innate pushback. Natural selection is a mindless pressure cooker. Yeah, sometimes it makes good food, but most of the time, it's a big messy pile. Most living things die of starvation, predation, or sickness before being reproductively mature. Animals suffered pain for millions of years before humans evolved. If life was utopian, then we would have no worries and no diseases. But that's not what life is about, is it? It's rather about surviving, not necessarily feeling good.

Whatever route you pursue, I wish you the best. You deserve to feel good. You don't deserve pain.

Starvation and dehydration are almost impossible to achieve for a healthy functioning adult. SI will get the better of you on that prolonged and painful journey. If you don't have the courage for a 'violent' method, then I'm sorry but you don't have what it takes for this. This is on another level and there's a reason why no one would seriously consider these methods after a little research.

I don't think that starving or dehydrating oneself to death would be feasible at all. Surly, the SI would kick in long before someone succumbed?

This definitely has nothing to do with being a wimp! So young to want to die!? Everyone may have their motives.
Starvation and dehydration, you can quickly forget about that. For very old people, yes. With healthy people it can take up to 3-4 weeks. It doesn't work at all on your own. After 2 days you get hallucinations due to lack of water etc.
The first step is whether you can get hold of suitable remedies? There's no Nembutal. SN is not for everyone. With prescription drugs it is possible, but in very high doses. Best to start with the first step ;)

I do believe in exhausting every available option before considering ctb. Especially young people who aren't suffering from a debilitating physical disease. This isn't to invalidate what anyone is feeling. Please consider; Is your situation really that hopeless or do you feel it is so but objectively it isn't so? Some people here suffer from anhedonia, numbness etc while some suffer from an overabundance of feelings. Some young people have an abundance of hormones that can overwhelm their thinking. Your body is still growing so give yourselves a chance especially if you have some kind of support system.
