I'm proud (and also very sad) to share with you that I've just finished my preparation for CTB. Over the course of many months, I've learned so many things from this forum and its many kind and knowledgeable members. Also, I feel I've been able to progress mentally, on a journey to accepting that I will never fulfill any of my numerous dreams and wishes. Finally, yesterday I did a "trial" CBT. I did everything as I would in a real CBT situation, with only one difference – prepared drinks with two substances instead of one. One with SN and a second one with a regular salt. I drank only the one with regular salt.
Now, there is only one opponent left. Actually, the biggest one ever – SI. Hopefully, next time I will be able to drink the real SN.
I plan on posting my SN plan a little later. Hopefully it could help someone else. Nevertheless, I already want to say that I'm grateful to all of you.
Background: I'm a guy in my mid-twenties who used to suffer from a severe mental disease (personality disorder) for most of my life. Thanks to a state-of-the-art treatment, I got completely cured. For the first time in my life, I started to have friends, sports, work, hobbies, relationship etc. However, shortly after that, I was diagnosed with an untreatable spinal disease (Scheuermann's disease) causing chronic pain. An early diagnosis would save me and possibly even completely cure the disease, but I was misdiagnosed by two doctors. My parents also dismissed my complaints, which prevented me from getting other medical opinions. Unfortunately, the disease had a rather atypical presentation, which was misleading to everybody.
