Your life's worth is not calculated in the amount of money or posessions you leave behind and I'm sure your loved ones don't define what you mean to them by your material wealth either.

I'm convinced they would rather you stay, but if you need to catch the bus, do it in the knowledge that the memories you created with them are all that truly matters.

I feel you, I am in such a similar situation. If I cant be there for my family and help them figure out life by being a good father then at least I would have liked to leave them some money so they can survive. I know the scars poverty can leave inside you and I feel that my children will indeed suffer because of it. I hate myself so much for not at least being able to give them some financial stability after I die. Thinking about it is what keeps me up in the dead of night. I'm sorry you're in this situation as well.

Please don't beat yourself up, the corrupt nature of this monetary system has failed you and most of us. There is another member here who is in their 60's and worked very hard for his entire life, and will have nothing to show for it or pass on to his family when he's gone, yet some celebrities get paid hundreds of thousands just for sitting on their fat ass and talking complete nonsense for 1/2 an hour. You deserve so much better, I'm sorry that this is happening and I hope this madness comes to an end real soon, for the greater good of all people.

Insurance here in my country covers suicide only after 2 years. i can't wait that long, i'm already on the edge

I feel you man. If it werent for the stock market crash, I would have left months ago. But now, Im trying to endure waiting for the market to atleast get back my loss. Btw, 10grand is already a lot from where I am.

I looked into life insurance but with my mental health history I think they don't want me because of the depression/risk of suicide (I'm in the UK). It's a bummer, I will just have to save what I can from my disability benefits, put it in a separate account with no easy access (coz of manic spending) and leave that to my son. He's all I have so yeah.
