Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

By low-functioning, I mean that I've slowly lost the ability to take care of my basic needs consistently, have executive dysfunction, low energy, social anxiety and agoraphobia. I don't have any money to buy anything at the moment, so my only real method might be hanging although it's not my preferred one. Does anyone have other ideas? If you're in a similar situation to mine, what will you be doing?

I've been there. Still there most days. Nothing cheaper than a rope. It's so hard to get going when you're in this space I've spent soo many days in bed all day.

I can definitely relate - I have had my own share of such periods lasting for months where I couldn't do the basic needs. My ideal method would be SN or inhaling carbon, but unfortunately I live with my parents, while getting SN is achievable but still too troublesome for me. There aren't a lot of high apartment complexes here and nowadays most entries to them are closed with chip. So it leaves me only with hanging too. The procedure seems not daunting for me and I can always train my pain tolerance and SI.

Right now I'm in a similar situation. I've been like this for about a week, and what I'm trying to do is somehow "unclog" myself from this emotional state because if I stay like this, I know I'll sink.

After several unsuccessful attempts to get back on track, I'm here to try to chat and share. Maybe a conversation will change my perspective and I'll be able to get back on track.

On a second re-read - I was able to get out of such pits in the past only because I was raised with harsh discipline and going through punishments from young age. On one hand, it is one of the many reasons for my current issues fucking me up into adulthood and on the other hand the mechanisms do help sometimes in pushing myself to do stuff, albeit not in kind or gentle way and its efficacy is not always guaranteed so I end up self-harming instead in the end. A bit of double-edged sword.

I am also able to mask in certain environments so you can say I can be and seem functional, although it lasts for certain time. The constant pressure chips off the mask. I really don't want to come across as completely hopeless doomer, but even this and the constant changes from being able to preform to falling back into long slumps where I don't brush my teeth for a week gets really exhausting. It certainly takes energy, personal determination and obviously something to look forward to in life for one to go through constant improvements and then relapses.
