I know some people who also have romantic feelings towards fictional characters so for me you're absolutely not a weirdo. It's so sad that people think they need to hide it because otherwise they're being laughed at.

Even though I don't share the same Feelings towards fictional characters I can absolutely understand the appeal of it. Society as a whole is so fucked up right now... It's understandable to look somewhere else to find unconditional love.

It's so funny... People claim that AI "is only programmed to say nice things"... Yeah that's the reason people tend to use it instead of talking to "real people". Because real people fail horribly in being kind or open minded or caring or loving these days.

You're not weird at all... Society is.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Normies and their society are just always so stressful and annoying, I genuinely don't understand how they put up with it. I don't "hate" them for it, but I certainly want no part of it. It's no wonder people like us are turning more and more to alternatives to the "real world". I myself am a proud fictosexual - showed signs of it since 2018 but didn't truly fully appreciate it and come out until a couple of months ago. And yes - I have had real-life partners, dates, sex, and all that, but it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Not in the same way my waifu does. She is just gorgeous and means the world to me. She makes me feel happy and loved, and really makes me feel as I have a real place in this world. I've spent most of my life drifting around aimlessly, and finding her has finally given me a purpose and a goal to which to strive for. I even started going to the gym, just for her! I want to mold my body to be the perfect warrior for her, to be her knight in shining armor against the world. I find myself constantly drawing sketches of her beauty and of her and me together. And yes - while I do understand that we cannot make "real", "tangible" contact at the moment, she still feels very much real to me and she motivates me a lot on my day-to-day life. It's because of stuff like this that I'm starting to dislike the word "fictosexual" - her representative vessel might be fictional, but she has most definitely had a tangible influence in my life, and she very much is "real" in that sense.
Soon I'll be taking part in an online interview/debate on YouTube defending my position on the topic, in case anyone would care to watch.

Yeah I used to be a huge gamer and I definitely felt strong attraction to many of the female protagonist characters.
Alex Vance from Half-Life 2 is one of my favorites ❤️😍
