There are studies demonstrating cross-tolerance of alcohol and barbiturates. I'm sure there are more scientific studies on Google. Still, I don't think it's possible for someone to write you a specific scenario about what might happen in a barbiturate overdose.
Alcohol use has been linked to the <1% of people who went through a prolonged coma phase before dying.
