In terms of what I think society should be like, and of course music, I am stuck in the year of 1935. I don't listen to any recordings made after 1937 at the maximum, and few of them are before 1932. Not only that, but the songs I do listen to are so obscure that there is no way that I could have discovered them accidentally.
I cannot help but feel that I was born too late, and the reason why I listen to these songs is perhaps a past life trying to return to me. I think that my purpose is to explore these songs, then end my life so I can finally learn what my past life was. I have no memories or incidents of that era, the songs just come so naturally to me though, that I feel that I must have lived through this era before.
I've never cared for any other genre of music, not even before I was even aware of these 1930s songs. Never cared for the 2010s pop "hits" or "oldies". I just wish that I could be frozen in 1935...
