I fucking hate thieves.

I just got my laptop stolen and I'm sitting here crying while waiting for my flight.

What are you supposed to do when something is stolen from you? Expecially something you worked for?

It's not the fact that I no longer have a pc that bothers me the most, It's the helplessness. It's the fact that if I'm incapable to fix these kind of situation, It ultimately means that if something more important is stolen from me, I'll be helpless to.

It's the fact that in life, we're at the total mercy of others.

That really is much worse than the actual loss of property. The feelings of helplessness and violation. Humiliation even.
The times it's happened to me, it would resurface a lot of other really unpleasant feelings and very personal issues.

Sorry for that, do you have google tracker installed? Probably imac is more secure but really I can't give false hope it will return. These crimes happens everywhere, I can relate a lot, recently my own relatives stole $5k from me (I sent him because I trusted him to carry the money but he betrayed me) and now his family is hiding him, the police is getting bribed from the counterpart. Life really sucks a lot.

That really is horrible. It's one of the most awful parts about this life how things can be taken away from us and how others can inflict so much harm, just causing us to suffer more. The cruelty of humans just makes me want to ctb even more.

it's at the airport, any chance of a CCTV where it occured? if you have had any google, microsoft, social media (or similar) services installed there's a 'find my device' tracking feature. your manufacturer may be able to track it if there's any proprietary software on it. i'd report it (cops are useless but just to cya) and try using a web based mac address lookup tool as well.
thieves and other predatory ppl are shitty af and im sry this happened to you

Thanks foe the support everyone. I'm feeling better now. I'm adopting an attitude of vengeance. I decided I won't just do nothing about it, I know the profile of the one who stole it and I know it's an acolyte of an airport worker (I live in a third world country and I know how things like that happen, what schemes they use ).

I won't let this one go.
