According to some beliefs souls choose their incarnation and their sufferings as a way to learn new things and ascend.
This would explain why people have harder lives (older souls) or easier lives (new souls)
other than being a very big cope this made me think about what I really wanted to learn by being born in a toxic family and not being able to really be my real self.
If you could choose your next incarnation but you had to have suffering in it what would you choose, and what do you think is your purpose in this present life?

I definitely can relate with this...in the next life i would like to be a rock star or a movie star to know what it is like to be loved by the whole world.

I don't see my life as having any purpose, it is meaningless, I will eventually die and be forgotten. I am only here because I was forced to exist and it is hard to die, and we lack the right to a peaceful death. In the next life, if there was another life, apart from wanting to be an animal like a cat, I would choose a straightforward human life. I would live peacefully and isolated from others. Obviously there would still be suffering as every life has some sort of suffering, it just differs in how much we experience.

What I will say is emotional events in life mark you deep inside, and I believe that's the only thing you take back with you, so maybe what you say is correct, maybe the soul comes and goes simply to experiancr,

On the other hand, maybe when you pass you deliver these experience to a source, and then come back to replete the process, kinda like a UPS delivery service delivering human experience to a main source.

Who knows, we will all find out in time.

I would choose not to have a next life in the human world. I'd rather spend some time somewhere more cosmic or spiritual. It's okay if it's challenging still. I don't think the gods and demons plan to make it easy for me, and I don't think I'd respect them if they didn't challenge me. Well, life is very dramatic for more children & adults than you might imagine. I assure you that many members, myself included, want to die because we were sexually &/or physically abused by deranged sadists. If you were one of us, maybe you'd understand why it's insulting to suggest that "our souls chose our incarnation & our suffering to learn new things"
