If someone else died from jumping in one spot, does that mean I will too?

I saw flowers and RIP messages on a bridge near me. There is also suicide prevention signs tied to the railings. Does this mean there is a good chance I'll die if I jump off? There is water underneath and I'm scared it won't kill me because it doesn't seem that high up.

Not necessarily. Unfortunately, there's no guarantee for any jump. If you think, some people can fall from a curb and die, some people survive massive falls, it's all dependant on how you land and many other factors.

I know of someone who managed to die jumping out their bedroom window, so I guess it is luck. I really don't want to be paralysed.

Not necessarily, but since no one survived jumping from my preferred bridge except people who hesitated and got that inflatable thing pumped under them, I am willing to give it the benefit of doubt.
