Venting if i had money, I'd be happy, temporarily

my whole life, I've been poor, maybe not bridge poor, but lower class

I couldn't afford much stuff, just the bare minimum, i genuinely want to cry everyday, thinking of how much I've missed out on

and now that i grow older and older, I realize there's no hope

seeing teenagers richer than I'll ever be just breaks my heart more

i just wish i had enough to fix my teeth completely, and to move out, travel to another country to live with my soulmate

I'm doing all right financially.
That's the only thing keeping me going still. I can imagine how much worse life would be like if I couldn't do the things I am able to.

That being said, Anhedonia's hitting pretty hard. I feel the doors to each joy or pleasure closing slowly and eventually the money won't matter I suppose.

Money isn't as useful as most people think it is... if your mental health is bad and you struggle with suicidal thoughts, money won't help you

It's unfair.
Especially when I see people that get the things I wish I could have with little work, little effort, yet regardless of how much I put in I may never get it.
It makes me feel so below everyone else.
Although, even if I recognize it's very little, I don't want to neglect what little I do have.

Oh boi, now i realised that those are just to comfort poor people like me. Many (not ALL) of the problems in this world can be solved by money , or getting people to do it for you.

I feel the same way. I am on the brink of not being able to pay rent. I reached out for help to my medical team, got told that "no one can help you" and declined referring me to a social worker. Yet at the same time, they're not even willing to do anything to help me. Same with the hospital mental health team, they're all fucking useless. It's because they're not experiencing financial problems themselves, so they're underestimating how important it is to have financial stability and it's impact on someone's mental health.

im not essentially poor but i live my whole life just to pay someone debt that isnt mine, the money i earned is not mine. i know the struggle of not bringing cash or to simply as eat leasureably but hell i wish i can earn more to ease my suffering

"money doesnt buy happiness" is a bunch of bullcrap made up by the wealthy to convince the middle and lower classes that they should be content with where they are, when it should really only apply to gross levels of greed.

90% of my issues would be solved if i just had more money. Hate my job? Just pay me more and I'll tolerate it more. Stressed about if ill be able to make rent next month? If i had more money then i wouldnt need to worry. Unhealthy? If i had more money i could afford better food and a gym membership. Money literally is the answer.

When I was like 12 years old, my school invited a successful businessman to give us a pep talk for the future. He said something similar. He said if you are successful, you can still be miserable, but you can do it in an air conditioned room instead of sweltering heat.Hard to disagree.
