Hey everyone I'm new to the site, I feel like I'm running out of time. This might sound silly to some but my dog is getting older, I took him to the vet for a tumor that keeps growing and they told me they can't remove it or do anything but manage his pain, so I have him on pain meds( basically hospice) Anyways he's really all I have. I'm a 27 year old man with no family or relationship. I don't know if I can handle his death, I'm thinking about doing it the same day he passes. Side note : my dad killed himself when I was a kid and I'm not sure if it's connected but I've always been obsessed with death and dying.

Hello wolfman.
Losing a dog is very hard and very sad.
They are our faithful friends, beautiful animals.
Best wishes.

Have you already thought of a method? I think the choice is up to you really, but I suggest you to wait some time after your dog eventually pass away and see how you feel before ctb.
In the meantime, focus on the present and enjoy at the fullest all the time you can with them!

@wolfman What breed do you have? Is it a male or a female? How old are they?

@wolfman They look a bit sad. Maybe they're like you, which means you chose a good one and that really is the best you can do.

I had a German Shorthaired Pointer (black and white version), female, died at 15. She gave me some of the best years of my life! She was fucking ace! Beautiful and sick smart. Damn, but I miss that dog!
