  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

In my perfect ideal world, there should be a suicide center as a community service (like they have in Switzerland) to give individuals the chance to die in a peaceful and smooth way. In order to determine wether an individual qualifies, urgency and potential for healing must be verified. Applicants should initially be offered therapy and admission to a healing center/ residential rehab for at least a year, and if the symptoms still persist, their case can be reevaluated after which they may be eligible. Insurance should cover that as well. Point is: suicidal people will not be treated like criminals or violent people. Most of us just want peace and we need to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect.

Lucky you, we seem to be living in an ideal world. We could be compassionate to each other and get along despite differences and hatred. But somehow the world has turning into a much worse place and people contribute to that instead of making it better for everybody.

And yes, I know that's not what you meant.

I just don't see how it's an illness wanting to never suffer in this torturous and futile existence ever again, for me existence itself is the problem and my wish to cease existing is as a result of existence itself, if healing means wanting to be burdened with this existence that just causes all this suffering all for the sake of it and problems there were never a need for with no limit as to how much can be tortured then I have no interest in that. I'd always prefer to not exist and I personally see no point, benefit and value to suffering in this existence I always saw as a mistake, I should have the option to just painlessly cease existing as a result of this existence being so tragically imposed as allI want is to never wake ever again, non-existence is all that's positive for me and I'd just never wish to be conscious of anything at all, I find it so horrific how a human can exist for so long.

I completely agree. That's one of the thoughts that keeps me from feeling undue guilt for first responders finding my dead body. Society and politicians LITERALLY chose my messy suicide instead of allowing me a peaceful, dignified, untramatizing, and safe doctor assisted self-deliverance/exit.

And what kills me is that society would benefit from that!! Housing shortage, joblessness, overpopulation - SHIT I'M VOLUNTEERING TO LEAVE AND MAKE ROOM AND RESOURCES FOR OTHERS!!
