I would like to die drunk, like Dolores O'Riordan. I know that diazepam and zolpiden are not valid. When I drink that internal pain that you suffer when you have major depression is mitigated. I know it's not the solution but I can't help it. I can drink 1 bottle of whiskey but it would be impossible to die mixing with pills. I was recently offered antabus for alcoholism. I can drink 2 liters of beer and you will not notice anything in me, and that is taking the medication. I have SN but honestly I am scared. Fear of pain I wish N was so easy to get, although with my weight I don't know how much I would need (85kg) I am tall. Alcohol and a hot tub, I wish I could die like O'Riordan. My therapists give me up for lost. I have refuted all your arguments about life and death. Too many stones in the backpack and my will is below zero. I just hope that at the last minute I can do it with SN but even 20 minutes of feeling sick terrifies me. I have read the deaths of several members here and I envy their courage. But always the therapists dissuade me. I think it's emotional blackmail ... Think of your mother, your father ... Despite being abusive and being the reason for all my traumas, I still feel sorry for everyone. I'm weak. If they saw me, I look like a man with apparent confidence, vehemence and supporter, but I am so tired. So many years, so many traumas, so much effort for nothing ... In short, it is a relief.

I know what you mean, I wish there was an easy way. Getting drunk and passing out and dying sounds good because you know nothing about it, if only it was easy and certain.

I too have SN and it's probably my only way realistically, I'm more upset by the thoughts of what my family will go through.

But I just don't want to be here any more, I have run out of steam to just keep on going.

I had no idea the cause of her death, just Googled it. Similar as Whitney Houston minus the alcohol I think.

Yes, she was bipolar. They found 1 bottle of champagne, some bottles from the minibar and some medicines but in therapeutic doses. I mean, it was supposed to be an accident. They found 330 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, but it was small. I don't even know how much that is translated into when you do a blood alcohol test.

We lost another great singer due to mental issues, like the singer of Linkin Park, I mean if you hear most of his song he was crying for help.

I just read up on her as well - that seems a very high alcohol level, she must have drunk more than a bottle of champagne and some miniatures surely?

Naughty naughty you've quit drinking!

Haha true story!
However, before dying, it wouldn't be that bad to do it! After all, it would be my last day on this planet lol

Only alcohol and prescription drugs in therapeutic doses are mentioned in the public forensic report. He drank, took a bath, and was left unconscious, dying of drowning. At least that's the official version.

It's not that difficult, really. Alcohol + alprazolam deaths are very common.
For some reason alprazolam is way more deadly when combined with other substances than other benzos.

That's what I used to think as well. After all, we're constantly bombarded with reports of college kids mixing a couple of Xanax with copious amounts of alcohol & dying. Unfortunately, the truth is much more complicated...

Well not so complicated. Just give it a try several times and sooner or later you'll get there. It's just a matter of doses. The problem is that often we generally talk of benzos to ctb, but the key here is alprazolam itself, not other types of benzos.

It's not the quick and reliable method everybody is looking for, but it can kill you (and in a relatively pleasant way too, probably way better than SN) and it's quite underrated as a method to ctb.

A massive dose of Xanax + alcohol and some opiates it's probably better even than N. That's way is the preferred method of doctors committing suicide after all...

I SO wanna believe that an antiemetic + lots of Xanax + lots of vodka is an effective way to ctb, but most of the people I've discussed it with disagree. Maybe doing it on a freezing, snowy night deep in the woods & adding hypothermia to the mix would do the trick

I don't know who you have talked to, but lots of people here can't tell the difference between OD and FATAL OD. Scientists do not even know why alcohol enhance the effects of alprazolam in a dangerous and often fatal way, so for me it's something worth to be further studied, especially AL in liquid form.

I think the people I've talked to are aware that a non-fatal OD is useless...

OD only has a 10% chance. I have been drinking a lot and taking medication. The most I've ever had is alcohol poisoning. I think everyone would like to leave with that sleepy feeling that both drugs cause but I think it is not that easy.

How did you feel in that state? Were you in a lot of pain or just barely conscious?
Unconscious and sedated. Both times I woke up in the hospital. Amnesia from a few minutes before falling to awakening. Both times I don't remember anything about going by ambulance, I just remember waking up in the hospital.

"O'Riordan was dressed in pyjamas and a long sleeved vest."

And you were told that you had alcohol poisoning? The alcohol blood level was definitely so high that it qualified as alcohol poisoning?

That detail did not know. I think he was on medication but they said it was in therapeutic doses. I am too tall for a bathtub

My question was about your experience when you woke up in the hospital after passing out, not about Dolores O'Riordan... Were you told that you had alcohol poisoning and that you almost died?
