I often wish that I could kill my soul and leave the body here for the people that still need it. I am not afraid of death or pain but there are (a few) people who would be destroyed if I CTB and need me to work for financial reasons. So I am trapped in a dilemma of staying in this hell or ruining others lives. Existence feels like a forced labor sentence. I hate that I am burdened by all of life's responsibilities when I never even wanted to be born. I didn't ask for any of this.

I feel you! I just kind of want to not exist in this body or this consciousness. There's a "me" at the core of the me that interacts with the world. It would be great to somehow still function completely normally but not of my own accord because "I" am somewhere else far away or simply ceased to exist.

i don't think that it could "know" that it is one. would a p-zombie be capable of that kind of reflection upon the self? i thought the point was that they lacked consciousness

A p-zombie only lacks qualia. It still has a normally functioning brain.
