For those who are new, and do not know me: Basically I am a Venezuelan who lives in Colombia, I have recently managed to obtain the necessary documentation to reside in this country, with which I was able to open bank accounts and obtain medical insurance
Now, I have spoken with my insurance about the euthanasia process, after a long talk about alternatives, I was informed that this would be a long process, and more, since I am not a resident of this country, so the Euthanasia is accessible but I don't know if I have the strength to carry out a legal fight, anyway, it is the decision I want, since I am not capable of taking my own life, I feel calmer with a peaceful death as it is euthanasia.
If you check the news a bit, you will notice that in this country, the few people who seek euthanasia have been given a voice in the media or news, something like scoops, since these things are not very common. The most notable case was the case of Martha Sepulvera, a Christian mother who decided to request euthanasia and the media such as television and Youtube were filled with news about this person, apparently the fact that she was a Christian gave her that flavor that those garbage television channels were looking for. The YT videos where she gave interviews were filled with offensive or pro-life comments like "but why doesn't she hang herself?" or "God will send her to hell"
So I will inevitably become a juicy plate for the media who will want to talk about "The first Venezuelan to be euthanized", obviously after overcoming the legal implications and bureaucratic problems, so I will keep you informed of any progress.
Due to my mental problems, I can apply for euthanasia, so I hope this process will not be so exhausting and long. The congress of this country was filled with religious and xenophobic people, it is another problem that he would have to face.
I love them all, SaSu
