I once tried to commit suicide with this method. The reason for the failure was purely because I drank too little (I prepared 100ml but only drank about 20ml, because it tasted too bad)

I was fasting for 12 hours, and I took antiemetics and painkillers in advance. The effect was very remarkable. I didn't vomit and there was no pain.

If you drink medical disinfectant alcohol, your throat will be damaged (but not permanent, it will recover in about a day), and then you will feel a little uncomfortable, and you will be unconscious immediately in about 30 seconds (I'm afraid of spitting out, so I didn't sleep on the bed but sat on a stool)

I don't know how long I've been in a coma. I'm a little unconscious. I'm a little thirsty. When I wanted to take the water on my desk, I found that my body was uncontrollable. The sound of falling on the ground was found by my family and sent to the hospital.

I guess I should have been acute alcohol poisoning at that time. I think this was a simple and less painful suicide method. In addition to being surprised at the beginning that the taste of alcohol was very bad, after taking antiemetics and painkillers, there was no pain or vomiting throughout the whole process, and the process of coma was quite fast, so I want to know what the reason why no one suggested?

(I don't know English, so the above is Google Translate.)

This method is unreliable and potentionally dangerous in the ways that it can lead to both short and long-lasting or even permanent organ damages such as blindness and kidney failure for example, if you were to survive. The amount required depends on your weight, your gender, your age, your natural and possibly built up alcohol tolerance, genetics, how many calories you consumed prior to the attempt, etc. The easiest and most common way to fail is probably what you have mentioned already: drinking too little because of the horrible taste and the feeling of your throat and mouth after drinking some of it. The next thing that is likely to happen is either vomiting and/or passing out before you even have the chance to drink any more of it. You might not know that you've vomited because it can happen after you passed out and if you didn't pass out, you will be so black out drunk that you won't remember. You can die by choking on your vomit, but that's not very likely, especially if you are sent to the hospital and if you get "pumped". Dying from alcohol poisioning overall is not that easy and hospitals do have cures, treatments and antidotes for alcohol poisioning. Overall, any method that involves alcohol is unreliable because it changes your state of mind and your awareness so much, that you are no longer able to do things well or accurately and being able to think clearly is impossible when taking a shot of alcohol with that level of proof unless you are an alcoholic maybe and has the resistance built up for that level. Alcohol is a CNS depressant, you will most likely pass out and wake up again later on sober with a hang over and throat pain before you are able to do any serious or lethal amount of damage to yourself, if you have little to zero built up tolerance to alcohol.

Probably because there's a real danger of surviving while also ending up permanently blind

Yeah, I attempted this too when I was younger. It's very unreliable, painful, and generally just a pain. I didn't take any anti-emetics with mine so I ended up just getting so drunk I couldn't walk, vomiting everywhere and having a horrible hangover the next two days. Besides, the way alcohol seems to kill people most of the time is through them choking on their own vomit or doing something stupid afterwards.

Because you will be blind and have multiple organ failures if you survive (and that is possible).

drinking straight vodka is bad as is drinking 75% going blind and having multiple organ failures u really taking the 'living on the edge' concept to heart. i hope everything works out for u, this is a terrible method. whether a person survives or not.
