Where can one buy some? Asking for a friend called Scholz. Initially I wanted to bring a different jokes but intelligence Services or law enforcement probably read this forum. It was a rather harmless Joke though.

There is the theory Germany could take control (partially) of some French nukes but I don't trust that. Le Pen will sooner or later win the election. It is not certain but Europe's future seems to be grim.

However, that Germany gets nukes probably will never Happen. We signed the Non Proliferation Treaty. And are a Big defender of This principle.

The same as Trump. Right wing populist. Why would she help Germany? She hates us and our Government.
Of course... she is loyal to Italy.
Why would anyone be loyal to a country that is not theirs?
Unless you're stupid like my fellow Americans and believe that Israel is our friend?
I believe Israel needs nukes way before Germany. I do not want to see Germany get nuked. I love Germany and German culture.

When the national governments of the EU disappear, the EU transforms from a federation of states to a federal state and the US-troops are kicked out of Europe, then German engineers will and have to develop nuclear weapons and German soldiers will control them. I doubt that this ever happens, thought right now the chances are not too bad.

Last thing the world needs is Germans having hands on nukes. You caused enough suffering and damage to the world already.

You don't believe that Israel already has nuclear weapons ?

The idea of nukes is so weird though (to me.) This hope that because everyone has them, everyone would be destroyed the moment one idiot starts using them so hopefully- no one will use them.

I just feel like they symbolize how absurd the human race is. They must cost so much to produce. The risks around nuclear fuel must be so high. It's just so ludicrous we're all in such a race to destroy ourselves.

I wish the opposite- that everyone would agree to disarm but, there's no way that will happen. Not that I'm really a pacifist. If attacked, I'd likely fight back. Still, the human race is so messed up. I think I read a statistic once that there were enough bullets in the world to kill every human four times over! Lol.

In Trump's first term he suggested that South Korea, Japan, and Saudi Arabia may need to acquire nuclear weapons to protect themselves from China and North Korea.

South Korea, Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands are all so-called "nuclear latent" states that could potentially build nuclear weapons quickly.

There have also been calls for Germany to renew its focus on civilian nuclear research, with the underlying goal of enhancing its capacity to develop nuclear weapons. Poland is also considering its nuclear options.

Japan possesses enough plutonium such that if it were to seek nuclear weapons, it could have the second or third largest arsenal on Earth, likely limited only by their means of deployment and manufacturing time. It processes advanced knowledge and enough working materials for its reactors that a weapon would be on the order of months should it feel the need to do so.

**correction/improvement to my earlier post

Poland has actively asked the US to deploy nuclear weapons to their soil. But Poland is now discussing how to get their own. They don't have a native nuclear industry but they have robust manufacturing. But no material.

Germany is also looking into this. First option is to partner with France and pay them to extend their nuclear deterrent (France has been nuclear since roughly the ~1950's). But at the end of the day, the French still control that arsenal and whether

South Korea has been looking at possibly reviving some old Cold War-era plans that would allow them to do a sprint to a nuclear weapon in a matter of weeks, if not days. And this has earned them the label by the US of "sensitive energy country." Meaning they are no longer a complete non-concern when it comes to nuclear proliferation, so now they're on the radar.

Finland and Sweden both have an indigenous civilian nuclear fleet. And the Swedes, like the Germans, already have an indigenous robust military system for contracting and manufacturing.

Romania, like the Germans, have a nuclear industry. However, all of their weapon systems are subpar and all imported.

Both Japan and Taiwan have an arms industry, the materials, plenty of experienced scientists and engineers.

I suppose you could say Iran and North Korea are wild cards in that, they could potentially sell or give away…

France won't give up control of it's weapons. If Europe was ever become one big blob France will want to be the head, they do now, Not one among equals.
