I've been slowly recovering from intense depression and derealization, the moments of clarity are breath taking and almost hurt they feel so amazing. The downside is those moments of Euphoria don't last, and the crashes have been some of my lowest/ most painful moments. That being said, I'm working on learning how to best manage the crashes, so i can keep enjoying those good moments. Knowing that another good wave will come helps a lot (they do come again, if you let them). Ultimately I guess it just comes down to; how much is worth going through to keep experiencing those highs?
I'm convinced God just wants me to suffer.

First off, you ARE beautiful and the world around is the same. Please let me explain myself. I am 67, reference point for this post, and I am NOT snotty, just lots of life experience and yes, I have had 2 attempts.
Look in a mirror and you will see a very beautiful soul and I for one care and love you as a family member on SS and beauty is in the spirit of a person. Yes, there is the proverbial good and bad in this world, BUT kindness, love, caring, empathy out rule everything bad always.
AS far as harmony goes there always will be discord, thank human nature for that aspect, BUT one can find harmony in oneself and doing kind and caring things for others, generally speaking, will build upon the harmony factor. I am an ultra-firm believer in what goes around comes around and in over 6 decades on this planet, I have seen it so, so many times where someone is nasty, mean self-centered or plain just a crook and oh boy does it come back to bite hard.
Love is around us all the time, a heck of a lot of time it does not seem to show itself but in the long run it is there. Case in point, after I got divorced, my ex has a HUGE gambling problem and I mean HUGE then I found SS and it has been\n like the family that I never have had and the love and warmth here is just outstanding. Other words love and kindness will be with you, as you will experience it, as you are a loving and kind soul who deserves watching a beautiful sun rise and/or sunset arm in arm and it WILL happen.
Send you lots of hugs, love and the knowledge that you are a precious person.

hope is out there, if you can just breathe through the pain. you are worthy of good things and you are strong enough to endure.
Personally, I think everything in life takes effort and then chance. I think it's kind of rare that incredible things just land in our laps. Like my friend always said- 'You need to make your own luck.' I guess if it's beauty you want- save up and visit places you find beautiful. If it's love or friendship- I guess you need to try and meet people in the hopes you'll find people you really click with. Maybe you are doing those things and getting nowhere? In which case- I'm sorry but if you're not- then I'd have to say you probably need to try... maybe that's obvious! In which case- I'm sorry!
Unfortunately the things you wish for will only give you a short "kick" but will not last long as others said already. I'm fully aware of your wishes because most humans have those wishes for themselves. The only wish that can come true is true love but it's so hard to find out there. I wish you all the best!
This sounds good but it isn't reality for me. My life is completely over and it isn't my fault. Everyone just up and decided it would be funnier, funner, better, whatever to let me suffer.

I feel you.
I put in a lot of work to learn a new skill then my disease just got worse. Went a mile ahead then got dragged 10 miles back .
