Is it possible? I am young and healthy but had a massive mental breakdown that destroyed my life completely. Cannot live with that, what are my options? I thought about hanging (full suspension) but I am afraid it is not painless.

No method is without risk of pain. But you can check out the megathreads and weigh the pros and cons.

SN and N are the obvious candidates.

SN is not painless. Well you might not have physical pain in the traditional sense of pain like a cut or a break but it can be extremely unpleasant. Vomiting, extreme heartrate, nausea, high anxiety, lightheadedness. This might be nothing for some people but it really freaks me out so everyone has to consider what their tolerance level is. SN is not just a cheaper N. N is anaesthetic and SN is a poison. There's a huge difference.
To answer your question any method is painless if you can make yourself go unconscious first. I'm trying to figure this out. When I figure out how to make myself go unconscious or at least extremely drowsy I'll either hang (can't do it consciously) or drown.

Just inhale chloroform then drown. 😊

Haha! Thanks 😁 if only it were that easy to get hold of...
... a bang to the back of the head can be achieved by clumsily sliding off the pool's edge.

Seriously isn't that what the propofol is for in the SN method? It's a strong sedative.

Dear Mr @Ta555 i am not mocking you, ok? Desperately searching for sedatives to use in CO method myself. I want out yesterday.

Propofol is an anaesthetic and impossible to get just like that. So is chloroform. Also I don't have a pool. I didn't think you were mocking me. I'm thinking of just going with sleeping pills and alcohol.

I have contemplated "accidentally" banging my head by sliding off the bathtub and drowning while passed out.

My situation with a (sudden) massive mental breakdown is similar to yours.

You'd have to know how to bang your head the right way to pass out though. I banged my head really hard by accident when I was little and didn't pass out at all. Just got a concussion.

There are documented cases of it seeming to go mostly painlessly, but this is when Stan's guide is fllowed vey closely, with all the presrciption and otc medications involved. The majority of pople who use sn don't use all of thew meds and that probably contributes a lot to it not going peacefully for a lot of people.

Shotgun aimed properly at the brainstem is what I am leaning towards. Not sure if there is anything as effective or painless.

Yeah but you have to factor in SI hugely with a method like that, holy shit balls. Literally blowing your head off.

I started looking into that when first joining this forum, but gun restrictions in my country + the SI thing put me off.

In my country it's very hard to obtain a gun, you need to be a policeman or something like that to have access to firearms.

If do you have propofol, you don't need SN :)

Wow, pretty violent and awful! But I love the instant death.
The way I like to think of it is (if done correctly) the violent and awful part occurs when your consciousness has already ceased to exist, so in a sense it's as if it didn't even happen. Remember that once you're dead your body will decompose or be incinerated both of which would be comparably unsettling to watch in my opinion. And just think of all the messed up stuff that's happening around the world right now that you aren't observing, and stuff that happened before you were born and will happen after your death all around the universe. We just place more emotional weight on things that happen in close proximity to us (especially to ourselves and family) but once I permanently cease to exist I view everything that happens afterwards as equal.

Yes but how do you suggest one obtain a hospital grade anesthesia? Not like you can just buy it from the pharmacy. It is on the same level as N.

I live in a shitty country :) Propofol is not on the police-controlled list of narcotics. That's why it's on the OTC drugs list. It's still bs but it is. You can't buy Xanax but propofol free :) There is no propofol in pharmacies. I've asked a few pharmacies to check if it's in their drugstore. Luckily I found it somewhere. Some vets also buy propofol from there.

Dude you want to make money lol wouldn't be hard on here
I don't know :) I guess Customs will never approve of it :) Few people will prefer it because it requires an IV. Propofol is a good alternative to N.
