They had a major impact on you, so it makes sense. As the victim, you naturally won't be able to shrug off all the damage they did very easily.
I'm not sure how a person moves past bullying though. I'm not convinced therapy would even be very effective. But then I'm not exactly a fan of it in general.

i think they can just move on with there actions simply because they don't think at all

Some of the coolest people I have met got bullied i think it's because you yourself are unique and interesting
and society can't seem to deal with that because it's honestly so boring 
That being said I know how much it sucks I was bullied all my life I still struggle and I know this is easier said than believed
