Hi everyone,

Well as I have no access to antimetics or anything else beyond using ginger to try to stabilise my stomach before I ctb, I decided to sample my SN this morning. Yes could have resulted in my CTB, but hey, that's why I have it anyway isn't it.

So I mixed about half a teaspoon (and then promptly re-sealed the SN in an airtight bag and again in a airtight box) with some water this morning and set off on a walk. It was about 100ml of water and it did taste very salty. I didn't gulp it all down in one, sipping it whilst sucking on some mints to help with the taste.

I'd not eaten anything since lunchtime yesterday either.

So anyway, no real effects until about 40 minutes in, I start to feel very light headed, check my watch and heart rate was normal (60ish) and breathing didn't seem difficult. All was well until I went into my local coffee shop to get a coffee, suddenly I felt very light headed, very flushed and very weak. The Barista must have thought I was pissed 🤣 I could barely hold a conversation whilst she made my coffee.

As I walked out, my vision was affected, things were very very bright and I felt drunk, but not my usual happy drunk way, more like a really bad hangover. I manage to get home and look in the mirror, the colour has gone from my lips, I took some selfies to compare with other photos and definitely loss of colour. Has some mild tingling in my fingers. I bent down to take my shoes off and as I stood back up for really light headed and had to sit down.

30 minutes have now passed since then and effects are wearing off.

But now at least I know what to expect, next time it'll be for real.

Thank you, oh I was fully aware how it could have ended, it's my intention anyway to CTB with this method soon so whether it happened today or not wasn't really going to change matters 🤗 but thank you for your concern. I'm now just waiting for the right day where I can go to my special spot to with nobody around.

Tbh, why not? If I'm intending this to be my CBT method anyway, didn't really make a difference if the day was today or in a week or two. It was a spur of the moment thing as I was moving my SN from my hiding place at home to my car, had a bottle of water with me and thought, wth, let's try this 😂

That was incredibly dumb.

For other people out there that aren't OP: sampling SN like it's a taste test is not only reckless, it's also a great way to build up anxiety around the real attempt. You also risk desensitisation probably, and if you'd hit a higher dose than you thought, you'd have ended up in A&E or worse.

In the future OP, if you're serious about using it, you take the full dose all at once and not sip, dissolved completely in cold water, after a fast (I know you said you hadn't eaten since yesterday but most protocols call for longer like 48 hours) and with proper antiemetics. Ginger won't cut it. If you vomit the dose, it can fail.

Now that it's been opened, your main concern is moisture!!! SN is hygroscopic, meaning it pulls water from the air and degrades fast if not stored right. What you need to do now is put it in a clean dry airtight container. Add a silica gel desiccant packet inside the container, not in direct contact with the SN, but in the same space. Keep it in a cool, dark, dry place in your car like not near a window or on the dash (not that I think you would lol).

If you're not ready, that's fine. But don't treat it like something to "test out." You deserve better than that OP. Sorry to go mum mode on you.

Really can't argue with that, not saying I was right, but really, had nothing to loose.

Good advice on the storage and I have kept it in a dark boot of my car with silica gel in the box as well so should keep for a week no problems.

Alas it antiemetics aren't easy to come by here in the UK and ginger is as good as I can get my hands on tbh. But I take your point and the next time will be the full dose (but still lots of ginger unless someone knows some it antimetics in the UK)

Its Okay op, all of that has been said is meant with genuine care and concern. Although I do understand being in that place, with nothing to lose however what matters is that you're feeling better.
