From what I've seen here alot of people do buy it with the intention of using it straight away. I've also read about people buying it but not using it because they aren't ready or having it there is enough to keep them going for now.

Also, very disturbingly, there are places on the internet that post videos of people killing themselves this way. ie people film themselves dying this way. I guess other people must then post the video. I don't know why other people then post the video.

Please note that people who have watched the videos have described them as gruesome and definitely not always a peaceful way to go. PPEH rates it 6/10, whichi s really not that great score.

Some people want to go out with a show. Some people think maybe they will not be forgotten if there us a video. Either way, it can actually be valuable information.

We also have real-time posts and post-attempt threads from people on this forum saying it is very painless and peaceful

Please stop spreading misinformation and fear mongering

I am not denying that for SOME it is peaceful, but this is far from the universal experience.

Please read the link I posted... there are real time posts and post-attempt experiences there of it being painful and gruesome.

It is important that people are aware of this possibility. There was a post from someone the other day who, believing that it would be a peaceful way to go, share his plan to CTB with SN in his bedroom which he shares with his little brother.

A couple of examples of non peaceful experiences:

"Moonicide: 25g in luke warm water drank through straw to help with taste, 48 hour regimen meto, 1000mg ibuprofen, 1000mg gabapentin, 800mg Tagamet, 8 hour fasting, throat and stomach burning afterward, pain rated 3.5/10, after 5 minutes needed to lay down, heart beating fast, feeling really warm but no pain, vomited twice, after 10 minutes breathing heavily, gasping for air, sounds like choking. After 10 minutes breathing slows down, leg spasms and grunting and loud groaning sounds. After 15 minutes vomits again, unconscious after 20 minutes. Witness did not think it was entirely peaceful.

Chat room: 25g, 72 hours regimen meto, 6 hour fast, ranitidine, tasted bad, burning throat, breathing slowly, 20 minutes after ingesting vomited violent, sounds indicated it became a very tough experience, horrible respiratory sounds, really distressing, don't know when she fell unconscious but we didn't talk anymore, 45 minutes after drinking she stopped breathing and dead (report from person who was on the telephone while someone took SN, could hear noises and groaning, did not think it was peaceful)."

People are very aware SN can be painful /unpleasant. Look at the number of threads every day talking about needing the extra media to be able to make the attempt. People are nervous enough about it.

If you want people to be aware, that is fine. But do not leave out half of the truth.

In defense of those who post them, their friends recorded their deaths because they wanted it posted online. I've seen threads here before by people asking how to record & post their CTB online. Imo, it is disturbing, but these are disturbing times (once again, or maybe they always were). I agree that SN doesn't sound like a walk in the park, but I didn't think the most famous of the videos (Joe Winko's ) seemed that bad.
But do they actually use It and die?
Many of them, of course. Others who aren't sure want to have it on hand just in case.
