• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Beneath the surface of the skin, there are mechanoreceptors that receive tactile information through contact. When these tactile receptors interact with things, they send signals to the brain and alter biopsychological functioning, releasing chemical charges. Nature itself instilled this sensory-psychological need to relieve emotional tension through friction. I have been deprived of this stimulus my whole life, in so many different ways. That's why I hate seeing those who possess it, while I deform myself.

I'm so stupid. Didn't hold or cuddle with my ex wife enough when we were together. Should still be together. Didn't know this about touch but it makes so much sense

Being touch starved is not taken seriously enough, it feels so suffocating. They can be expensive, but the only thing that has helped me is a weighted blanket

I feel you. I hardly ever touch anyone either. I don't even know how it works.

I remember back in grade school, I had a teacher who took an "informal" poll during science class, probably biology, and she asked all us students which of the 5 senses we thought was the most important. I can't remember with any real accuracy, but as you might expect, most of the class said sight followed by hearing, and they were the #1 and #2 responses. I don't remember, but a couple may have said smell. I don't think anyone said taste, which I do know now is plenty darn important (lost some of my taste to Covid). Anyway, I do remember that I was the only one to say touch and I remember everyone looking at me like I was goofy when I said it. I still believe it to this day.
