How did you make it to be that old? How did you do it? I don't see myself surviving past 35 and I'm 31.

It feels like everyone around me has been successful in some aspect of their lives and that's what carries them through. I have nothing to show for my life — no kids, no husband etc. I have nothing to be proud of.

Has anyone ever wanted to just disappear to a different country? I think about this often… then again if I can't make it here how would I make it elsewhere?

I'm so scared.

I can totally relate to exactly this. But some people have quite a lot and still decide to CTB. Everyone is different.

I hate the fact that we live in a world where being single and not having kids is seen as some sort of failure.

In my case, moving to a different country would do nothing to make me feel better, nothing could ever make me want to live. This life is very depressing and unfair, but in reality we do not know how much other people suffer as many people hide how they really feel from others. I do not understand how people can manage to live to a much older age, to me that would be unbearable. I just want to be gone.

If you don't ctb, you'll get to see more than half of those marriages go up in flames. It's the little things in life... :sunglasses:

I suppose I could rationalise enduring old age if I had things I was passionate enough about, but the passion would need to be great to offset that horrible decline. As it stands I have nothing close to that. Changing countries wouldn't help me in any obvious way, unfortunately.

Supposedly, there are "happiest" places in the world. Finland ranks the highest. The US is not high on that list. You can look that up on Google or whatever. But, hopelessness and despair is everywhere, I'm sure, though, and I'm sure even in the happiest place in the world.

The heart of capitalism, the birthplace of demons. It's no wonder you're suicidal.

It's the most lonely place in the USA. You're surrounded by so many people who want nothing to do with you and everything to do with themselves/money/fame only.

Actually, it is pretty much the same everywhere, just the extent of it I reckon.

The suburbs are extremely lonely… I actually find New Yorkers to be friendly if not direct… People in the south are quite friendly… At least to tourists/strangers

I was born and raised in the state, lived in the city for almost ten years. There's so much possibility there and I think that's what kept me going for so long. But I can't just survive on possibilities anymore..

New York City is a pretty exciting place… At least it used to be… used to be a lot weirder than it is now… I'll probably never go there again (due to the fact that I basically spend all my time laying on the couch)
How did you end up in a psych ward exactly?

I'd like to go to South Korea and perhaps date someone there, but due to c19, I cannot.

I don't even think a relationship will give me the will to live at this point. I'm just too far gone now.

South Korea isn't as great as it seems in tv shows. If you watched Squid Game, it is a real depiction of the common folk's life-in debt.
