Does anyone have thoughts on a multi round burst to the chest from a AR or .45? I'm thinking three to 5 rounds at least. I am in a lot of physical suffering and want my death to incur the least amount of suffering possible.

A self-inflicted burst? Recoil is definitely going to fuck it up. Not to mention the potential for collateral damage if you do anywhere remotely populated.

I understand the desire for a "sure" method but shotguns and handguns are reasonably sufficient.

Yeah. I'd say just invest in a 12-gauge for safety's sake since they're guaranteed to kill you if you go for the head.

I just don't think i can bring myself to blowing my entire head off my body. I do have shotguns.

Neither of the guns mentioned in the OPs post are "automatic" weapons. Both are "semi-automatic" weapons, and neither are illegal, as long as the OP is allowed to own them. Well, except if you live in Illinois that is, a ban that I'm sure is headed to the Supreme Court and will be overturned.

going for the chest is a bad idea. Yes, depending on the gun you can guarantee to CTB however it will most likely not be instantaneous and will cause a lot of pain. With guns, it's the head or find another way to CTB. Honestly, if you want to have the least pain possible I've seen people use two hard pillows and a truck ribbon ratchet, you put the pillows where your arteries in the neck are and you crank the ribbon until it blocks them off, there is almost no pain you will just feel light-headed and fall asleep. The only thing is that you need to be in a place where you won't be found for at least 4 hours otherwise there is a chance that you can be resuscitated most likely with permanent brain damage.
