Discussion I hate to be known as that guy who killed himself

When I look at my Facebook I just think about how insignificant I am and that I will just be known as the guy who killed himself and in the first 1-2 weeks people who used to be my friends or people who kind of knew me will just use my suicide as gossip do you feel the same?

My brother knew a guy who´s sister died as a child in an accident when she got crushed by a straw-bale and apparently he milked the shit out of it to get attention and I hate to be the gossip for a few weeks just to get attention because someone knew me in the past especially if they weren´t real friends.

I'm more afraid of journals, in my country when someone kills himself they usually fill their pages with as much details as possible of your shitty life, horrible pics from social networks and embarrassing interviews with acquaintances.
But if your parents are wealthy, they just write that the son of a well-respected family has taken his life, they won't even publish your name to avoid lawsuits. Money and lawyers are really powerful means, here.

i know that feeling. ive never been one to have loads of friends in person or online or post on Facebook. I have no idea how the people I'm friends with on Facebook will react. On the day I go I'm going to just post my name, birth date, and death date and put up my current SS profile pic as my fb profile pic. Either that or I might upload a selfie of me with my N

I feel the same exact way. It's a shame what social media/ (I guess even the world) has become. Quick clips of existence and trying to "be relatable". Everyone has to show they care, that's it just show it... not actually care.

They might start blaming family members or friends for your suicide, your parents will be looked at with shame once you ctb. None of that matters when your gone though, whats done is done.

This is my Facebook now. I'm going to delete my Facebook account - fake toxically positive people. What I would hate more than the gossip would be how much people love a good death. As in, people who barely spoke to you alive coming to your funeral crying and talking about how much they loved you. I saw it in high school and it happens long after. My boyfriend has experienced it too and he hates it as well.

I think of it as the most rational and brave thing a person ca do.

I think so too it makes so much sense to commit suicide if you don´t have good physical health or mental health and even if that if you have to work a job you don´t like for 8-10 hours 5 days a week for the rest of your life then i´d say suicide is better alternative than to slave away your life.

There is no point to speculate what is to happen after your death, it is out of your hands and is irrelevant. Just by thinking about it you are wasting your own time and energy. I cannot comprehend why someone would worry about how others will view them after their death, it will just be the typical: " Oh they had so much to live for" Or "We were so close, why didn't they tell me anything".... they will just use your own death as a means for attention, people are selfish.
In my opinion, fuck what others will think.
