I hate new years and Christmas time

Same here. I really dislike Christmas. Last year, it was the worst time in my whole life. It is also my birthday around that time which I hate as it is a day that is supposed to celebrate an existence that I do not want and did not ask for. Everything associated with Christmas is very annoying to me and it is depressing seeing other people enjoy it. I wish it could be cancelled. It is a horrible feeling to start a new year. Unfortunately it is looking like I will still be alive then.

Last year I was seriously planning on CTB before the holidays, but I put it off because I didn't want to ruin that time of year for my family (well, the family that I talk to, anyway.) So I put it off. Now I'm realizing that things are actually worse now than they were then, and I have to get a move on or I'm going to be stuck in the same situation this year.

The holidays are pretty terrible but it's not like any other time of the year is particularly great for me now, anyway.

I hate Christmas and the holidays too. Though I do like New Years because I consider it an accomplishment making it through another year of life without killing myself. I seriously want a medal if I live through the rest of this year.

The main reasons I dislike Christmas are the forced family gatherings (most of whom I am practically estranged from), the endless songs, the nonstop advertising, and seeing more fortunate people enjoy life.

However, when you are unemployed things like holidays, weekends, etc quickly lose having any significance anyway so it's really just another day of watching time pass.

i do too. False smiles and awful hugs and kisses from people who are pissed. I switched off from xmas Years ago. I jumped for joy when Boris cancelled xmas last year due to pandemic and i have this feeling it might happen again. Husbands will be celebrating at not meeting the dreaded in-laws. Apologies to anyone if you dont agree. I mean how many people and kids truly remember the meaning of Christmas!
