I was raped in 2019 and I feel your words to my core. Do take the time before making any decisions because the feelings after being assaulted are so extreme and can and will come and go which is unfortunately normal for victims of rape - so I do think it is important to not necessarily act on any impulses in those moments. I know that's easier said than done. And this is not to invalidate you whatsoever, what you're feeling right now is so valid and I still feel the same pain you described even though it's been almost 4 years now.

I can only speak from my own personal experience with this - but while the suicide hotlines are trash, I actually found the sexual assault hotline (RAINN) to be very compassionate and helpful when I needed someone to talk to. It's hard because you never know who you're gonna get on the other line, but they seem to have more training than suicide hotlines if that's something you're interested in.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Rapists are the lowest scum of the earth and should be castrated imo.

i can't even fathom what that must feel like. I only know people it's been done to and the deep whole it's left them in. I can't even relate, but the feelings that get shared with me about it sounds like the person is in so much pain and coming back from it is near impossible or impossible. I worked at a prison where the inmates that raped women were either beaten really bad or killed for doing that. They consider the person weak and don't deserve to be breathing their same air. I never disagreed with them even though we were told differently by our management.
