Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Three months ago, I left SaSu. I was 'farawaystar'. I thought I'd try the 'getting help' thing everyone talks about.

Two months in a psych ward. $15,000.

And honestly? The patients were great. BPD, bipolar, schizophrenia — we got each other. But the staff? I was a nightmare for them.

First week: I tried to escape. Got into fights. Even convinced other patients to turn on the nurses. They called me a psychopath. Slapped me with a bipolar 2 diagnosis too. Then they threw me in isolation for two weeks.

That's where shit got real.

They gave me ECT. Electroshock therapy. Zapped my brain. And you know what? It actually worked. I felt better. I did behavioural therapy. Made friends in the ward. Thought I was finally fixed.

My family paid $15k. I paid another $10k trading and lost it all. Broke now. But that's not the point.

The point is — I relapsed. I didn't tell anyone. I'm back here.

I did everything. Therapy, hospital, meds, ECT, isolation. Nothing stuck.

So here I am. New diagnoses. No hope. And honestly? The psych ward was fun. But leaving was the biggest mistake I ever made

Can they Really Force you to take ECT? In the US, at least…?

I dunno, some people here posted that they got better, but those results were temporary. Also, I personally heard from people that they had some memory loss. My family found some European papers that don't recommend ect any more, while us psych community thinks it's fine….

Did u have any memory loss? I hope not…

I was in the mental hospital for five days and if I wasn't on my parent's insurance it would've costed close to $30,000, just for a five day stay.
This world is so strange. We suffer from mental illnesses that push us toward suicide, yet governments and laws do everything they can to stop us and force us into fake treatments. And on top of all that, we pay everything we have for pointless therapy.

(ECT) is a very, very effective treatment for depression. But there's a difference between depression and suicide.

At first, I improved a lot. My memory was weak, but after a month, it came back — even better than before.

But the suicidal thoughts returned.

I think it's only a temporary treatment. Based on my experience, I don't recommend it.
