An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
Do you need to explain it to your family? I thought about saying, if I really need to explain to someone (maybe a public servant?), that I have plans to prepare my own meat and such, because I have a friend who knows about that kind of things (a lie, of course). If that someone is something like a coworker or a flatmate and they don't know what is coming, I would simply say that it's personal, they know how to care about their own business.
It probably depends of how much information they have already, how much authority and/or love they have over you. It's not the same to explain it to a stranger than to your mother

Sodium nitrite is a versatile compound with a range of applications:
1. It's commonly used as a preservative in processed meats like bacon and sausages to prevent bacterial growth and maintain color.
2. It plays a role in metal treatment, finishing, and as a heat transfer medium in various industrial processes.
3. Can be used as an antidote for cyanide poisoning and has potential benefits in treating certain vascular conditions.
4. It's a precursor in the synthesis of dyes, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals.
Sounds too late for the OP, but one option for others is to say you ordered it by mistake or that you were sent the wrong item.

I'm gonna try contacting them, but I don't know what to say in order not to arouse suspicion. Like how much should I order? And what should I say if asked what I am going to use it for?
