I feel manipulative

whenever anyone says that I'm not bad I just think that I have manipulated them into thinking that and that just makes me even more bad

Some people are just bad people. It's nothing to feel bad about so long as you don't always act on your bad impulses. It takes all kinds to make the world go around.

I don't personally know you and you don't personally know me, but from what I have seen of your threads I don't think you are. If you have spoken nothing but truth than I don't think you are, you just seem a little anxious of how you treat people or something like that.

Usually this is a fear of people who've been abused by manipulators. We are deathly afraid of being like the people who caused us so much harm.

Has anyone ever been manipulative to you and hurt you by it?

there's someone whose behaviour hurt(s) me terribly, but the more I think about it the more I think my reaction to their behaviour is unreasonable
I don't know if I'd call them manipulative. If they are manipulative, they're so good at it that I don't realise that they are being manipulative
But I really don't think they are - it's not that they're cruel - I guess I just thought how they acted was callous rather than cruel but now I don't think they're callous I think /I'm/ the problem
I think they mean well and I've just misunderstood them
And expected too much from them I think I'm unreasonable

Seeing other people as victims is a waste of time. Even if it was true and you were manipulative (which i am sure it ain't) its their responsability if they choose to believe you. Plus people who manipulate do not feel guilty at all they feel happy about it thats how i see its not it

You know, bad people don't actually think they're bad. They always have some sort of excuse in their mind. That's how they live with the way they are. You on the other hand, express concern about being "bad", and about manipulating people into thinking you're good. This is the sort of thing a good person, albeit one with low self confidence would do.

Think about it, why would you be bad? What makes a person bad? How do these things apply to your life, if at all? Sometimes when we feel down, we are more likely to feel like bad people, since bad people get bad things in life. However, this is not true. When I read your post, all I see is someone who has been hurt by life, not a bad person. I hope one day you might be able to practice a bit more self confidence and self love, and come to this realization yourself.
