Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Well, I'm not homeless anymore but I'm still extremely depressed. It's a pain I can't stand especially now that ss is harder to access for me because of the UK ban. I really want to ctb but I know I probably can't this year and I should plan it out better. For me having a specific date kind of makes it worse. What should I do about this? I wanna do it sometime late next year or ealy 2027 but I'm not sure how I should go about deciding when since having a specific date is unpredictable for me and makes me dread it and hide it worse

There are alternatives, like choosing just a month. Or if you do pick a date, stress that you could change your mind about it.

I never set a date for my attempts. I just woke up that morning feeling ready to go.

There's nothing wrong with not having a date. I'm in the middle of gathering what I need, making final preparations, putting things in order, etc. When I last tried many years ago, setting a date and not having things happen made things even worse. So this time around, I'm being less stressed about it. My farewell date will undoubtedly be in the very near future.. but I'm trying to go with the flow better than I did on the previous try. It helps that I'm much more confident in the method succeeding this time around.

How do people pick certain dates?

I notice many saying this weekend, either on Halloween or day after. Does it make it easier?

I constantly want out. Every day seems like potential. But rarely an attempt. Maybe picking a day makes it easier.

I was having a hard time with that bc I didn't want to live past this year but I'm not ready - all my affairs aren't in order and things I still want to do so I guess I'm just taking things day by day and working on the goal but not giving myself a deadline. I need to feel more at peace with the life I'm leaving behind before I go. You get one life there is no rush to end it and circumstances around your ideation change all the time
