I want to CTB with as little pain as possible. I was going to SN, but the more I read about it, the more I got cold feet. I know that if I owned a gun, it would be easy, painless, and quick. But I don't own one and I don't want to wait until I'm old enough to purchase one legally. What should I do?

I'm warming to SN so much through this forum but same as you I worry about panicking after drinking. I took an OD of aspirin a few years ago and the panic after I'd done it was horrible.
There are so many resources on here on different methods. Just read up a lot before you decide.
